Wow! Thank you both for the critiques! These will greatly help me! :) And it's completely fine, I'm here to improve so that's what I'm going to do.
Anatomy is so difficult to achieve and I've been trying to work on it, but I haven't found a good way (or a good method I suppose) to achieve that yet.
The irregular surface tone is actually little flowers. X///D I wanted to give the effect that it was covered in flowers, but I guess it's hard to tell.
Oh! I completely forgot about the page number! Sorry! But I will take all information into account that I have gathered! Thank you so much for the support and criticism! :) |

Okay aside from Yamamoto's critique (which in my opinion offers some pretty good advice) From a viewers perspective..it looks pretty nice (in my opinion) The characters look very very nice ^^ although im a bit thrown off from the perspective.. of which the viewer is looking at. But otherwise it looks pretty nice |

Ok, let's start (forgive if I sound rude, but this is a constructive critique I don't want to hurt you or make you feel inferior). You need to improve how you draw the bodies, learn some anatomy and try to have a look to how other authors draw shoujo guys' bodies. The faces are very good and you have a very good technique for the hair, I would like to see how you do long hair, there are some little mistakes, but nothing you can not correct with just experience. The background is not bad, but you need to practice it as well, you drew horizontal lines for the tiles effect on the roof of the buildings but I would use vertical lines, try it, you'll see the difference, and I don't think the irregular spotted tone you use in the rocks and the mountain are really ok, try using line shading in different zones to create an irregular suface effect in the mountain, and if you don't want to use tones, the rocks are right just with nothing. To practice backgrounds, I use to search for photographs on internet and copy them, it's a really good method.
Ah! One more thing, when using Manga Studio, turn off The page number. Good job and keep working! |
