Kannosuke HayashidaIn Sabita Yoru demo Koi wa Sasayaku, Kannosuke has been dating Fuyuji since high school. He has a volatile temper and frequently physically assaults him, leaving cuts, bruises, and even scars on him. When he realizes that Fuyuji is in love with Hideyuki, Kannosuke begs him to leave, fearing that he would turn into an even worse person if they stayed together.In Azami (prequel to above), Kannosuke is shown to be working jobs he is deeply unhappy with and abused at in order to support his mother, younger sister, and grandfather. Eventually, unable to talk to Fuyuji about this, he grows more and more resentful of him and begins unleashing his pent-up anger and frustration through physical abuse. In Renai Ruby no Tadashii Furikata, he works at a much better company and is in a FWB relationship with Ayumu, one of his subordinates. As resigned as he is to not getting involved with anyone romantically, Kannosuke slowly reciprocates Ayumu's affection. In Narrow: Place Collection, Kannosuke gets jealous over a female coworker flirting with Ayumu. In Hadakeru Kaibutsu, as Ayumu is away on a two-year transfer and they're dating long-distance, Kannosuke reminisces on his life with Fuyuji and the regrets about how he abused him.
