After 7 years of using MAL and watching anime on and off I have decided to create my first anime list style and my first blog post to go along with it.

Since I joined MAL in 2008 I had been using the styling "Black BG with Red Links". At the time it was better then anything I could create and easy to set up. I have long found dark backgrounds with light text to be easier on the eyes. So with a simple option change in a combobox and I was done.

I had noticed for sometime now it is somewhat difficult to read the list with said theme. The Red font always appeared a little blurry. Today it finally bothered me enough to make me change it. After fiddling with the built in styles and advanced style editor I created a style I was pretty happy with. The picture is one I found off google images some months ago, the table style is still a built in MAL style. I had to tweak with the div alignment and table padding to get it show cleanly for full screen and half screen viewing, and lastly some changes to the background image attributes to keep it fixed in place.
