Best of 2008
Well, I only just started watching anime in the beginning of 2008, and didn't start following seasons till half-way through 2008, but I wanted to choose out what ones were my favorites in a few categories.
Favorite Comedy: Clannad.
This one was hard for me, with so many good comedy shows out there, but it basically came down to Kannagi and Clannad in the end, and I remember Clannad leaving me in stitches, while Kannagi was nothing too special. So Clannad for sure.
Favorite Action: Shakugan no Shana II
I'm not usually a big fan of action anime, so I don't usually watch a whole bunch. I randomly ran into Shakugan no Shana on a streaming site, and got hooked with it. It has really awesome action, and was an entertaining anime. It was either this or Ga-Rei Zero for best action, and this one was much better.
Favorite Romance: Itazura na Kiss
This anime was so amazing, I currently have it on my favorites list. This kept me on the edge of my seat, absolutely dying for more after each episode. Nogizaka Haruka was good as well, but that one was a little different and didn't seem as good on the romantic aspect as this one did. Actually, there is an anime which is better than this, Clannad ~After Story~ is an amazing romance so far, but it doesn't finish till around March in 2009, so it can't compete till then.
Favorite Drama: Vampire Knight Guilty
I must say, I was surprised with Vampire Knight. It didn't start off too well, but it soon turned into something really good. I feel like the second season was better than the first.
Favorite Psychological: Chaos;Head
This show was quite good. I'm a big fan of psychological, and that's what drew me into this show. It was entertaining, and definitely gave you your psychological fix.
Biggest Surprise: The Tower of Druaga: Aegis of Uruk
I picked this one up, not expecting a whole lot from it, and was easily hooked with false hopes on the first episode. My hopes, though wrongly placed, were definitely satisfied with the way the anime went from there, though. This anime turned into one of my favorite animes of the year, with great drama, and a surprise ending. Glad I picked this one up.
Most Dissapointing: Yozakura Quartet
I picked this one up with high hopes, mainly because I was a fan of the artist who drew the characters. This one turned out to be a pretty boring anime, with no real surprises or anything making it stand out, other than the art.
Most Anticipated Anime of 2009: Trigun Movie
I had to pick this, Trigun is my absolute favorite anime, and it the sole reason why I got into anime. The more info that gets leaked about it, the more I'm dying to see it. I foresee this doing really well.
Anime to look out for in 2009:
Clannad ~After Story~: Absolutely amazing so far
Toaru Majutsu no Index: Really surprised with how exciting this is
Fullmetal Alchemist: It's Fullmetal Alchemist, need I say more
Skip Beat: This one is funny, as well as really entertaining
Maria Holic: Hot trap and a perverted lesbian... this is gunna be entertaining
Well, these are my picks, feel free to comment or tell me what you would choose.

Too... Much... Anime...
The new season started I guess, and I started watching a bunch of new anime, but I think I started too many again. Last time I did this, I sizzled out about 1/4th through and maybe got around to finishing 1 or 2 after much catching up. I'm afraid that I'll probably do the same thing again this season, because I don't have the willpower to drop an anime unless it is really ecchi or really bad (though those 2 usually seem to go together...)
I'm thinking I could easily drop Macademi Wasshoi and Kemeko DX, maybe picking up Kemeko again a year from now if it turned out well. I could never drop Chaos;Head, I love the psychological ones, and definitely couldn't drop Toradora, that one seems like it will definitely turn out well (I was addicted after the second episode...) Clannad was one of my favorite animes just because of the comedy, so I probably couldn't drop the new Clannad anime either.
I'm sad that I missed the anime convention near me, completely forgot about it. I don't think that it would have mattered even if I remembered though, since my schedule is so messed up (I go to sleep past 6AM every night, and don't wake up till like 5PM.) I really need to fix that schedule, it is getting annoying.
I finally sent in an email about my broken ps3, about 1 month before warranty expires, but like 5 months since it broke Procrastination to the max, that will probably cost me upwards of 100 bucks. Eh, at least I finally have money to spend on expenses like this nowadays, for a short while at least.
I bought many new games recently, I decided that since I never had money to play games when they came out, I would buy them now that I have money. I bought Disgaea, Resident Evil 4, Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Dirge of Cerberus, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, and Persona 3. I also bought a few new ones, like Star Ocean: First Departure, and the new Sonic game for the DS. Haven't gotten around to beating any, but I'll talk about a few that I have played.
Shadow of the Colossus, at first just seemed like an open map with nothing to do. It wasn't until I looked at a strategy and found out how to find the colossi did the game become interesting. The graphics are great, and just the experience of taking on something 100 times your size is exhilarating to say the least.
Resident Evil 4 is the first horror survival game I ever bought or played. Honestly, I was freaked out just 1 minute into the game. Sadly, I have been unable to go further than 1 screen because I find it too hard to take out any townsfolk that attack. The game looks like it can be good, but I have yet to be able to find that out for myself yet.
Star Ocean: First Departure is a great game, and breaths life into the old SNES Star Ocean game. The graphics are great, never boring, and the gameplay is addicting. I enjoy the story as well. I am near the end of this game, and am only now running into problems with battles, but I guess it is supposed to get harder the further you go along.
Persona 3 got me hooked with the animations at the beginning, but once the game actually started, I lost interest. I'm into a more linear gameplay that what it provides, giving too many options and things to have to pay attention to. It seemed like I was playing a game of Sims, with having to do stuff to get my dude feeling well enough to go through maybe 5 floors of the dungeon. I will try to complete this game, but I hope it gets more captivating later on.
Final Fantasy X is just as good as I thought it would be. X is the Final Fantasy that I always wanted to play after watching an AMV of it. The story doesn't feel tired like many others, and it constantly gets you hooked on it. It is exactly what you should look for in a Final Fantasy game, but probably the last one that will have it.
I also bought a few Harvest Moon games, because I needed something to occupy my free time with, and nothing is better than a mind numbing repetitive game that is like crack to the brain. I got Island of Happiness (or whatever it is called) for the DS, but I really do not like it. It just doesn't seem like a Harvest Moon game. I also got Magical Melody for the Gamecube. I like this one alot more, but I feel like it lacks alot and requires too much effort. So I still just stick with my favorite ones: Mineral Town for Game Boy Advance, A Wonderful Life for the PS2, and the original one for the SNES.
I got accepted into the Public Beta for Resistance 2, which I can still luckily play on my broken PS3. It seems like it will be a really good game, I like the varying difficulties in the enemies this time, though some seem almost god-like in power, taking 20 minutes to slay. I can't complain about competitive either, it's like a refined version of the last one, which I enjoyed. I feel like it doesn't match with Halo competitive wise, but it is still enjoyable.
As for all of my projects, well all of the data for all of them were deleted by my mom's inability to use a computer, so they are all on hold. I have started a new Harvest Moon fanfic and a Novel, but that is all that I am working on right now.
I am trying to play more Visual Novels. I played Planetarian, which was AMAZING SUPREMELY. I was in tears by the end of it. It is definitely one I will play a million times in my life. Just today, I started playing Wanko to Kurasou, but I will probably not complete it because it seems like it will get a little too perverse for my likings (love girls with ears and tails though...) Waiting patiently for the new patch for Fate/Stay Night, it is almost complete. I bet I know every surprise that will happen in the Heavens Feel path before it happens, but I still want to play it.
Well, I should probably get back to the nothingness that I do, having not started college or gotten a job yet. This is all for now, PEACE.

Happy... Birthday?
Hmmm... I have no idea what a blog is... I just wanted to write (I love writing,) so here we go:
Well, I am home 24-7 now b/c of my leg and other reasons, so it's common to lose track of the date, right? I was thinking that my birthday was a few weeks away, but it turns out that it was, as I'm writing this, 10 minutes ago... Only found out b/c my brother brought home a huge pizza, saying it was my birthday...
I guess a birthday becomes less significant as you get older... Kinda depressing, I remember back when I would have a huge birthday party, and it was my second favorite time of the year (Christmas is the best of all days, of course.) Then it just slowly started to transform... one year, I didn't have a party, because I didn't have any friends around at that time, and I never had a party again... Then a few years later, I stopped receiving cards from my Aunts and Uncles, but it happened slowly that I barely realized it. Then, I stopped getting worked up over what kind of presents I was going to get, I stopped begging for everything around me. This year, my mom just spotted me a few bucks when I needed it a few days ago, and that is supposed to be my birthday present... How the times change... I guess it is just a sign of growing up though.
Well, enough about that. Let's talk video games.
I started a conquest to beat all Final Fantasy games a few days back, and I have beaten 3 Final Fantasy games to date (which means I beat 2 of them since I started the challenge...) But one of the games had such a beyond amazing ending.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII had such an amazing story and (especially) ending. The ending was definitely sad, and I had streams of tears down my cheeks as I tried to hold them in. Final Fantasy VII was just an ok game, and I'm guessing all of it's popularity comes solely from the characters involved in it. So I wasn't expecting much when I picked up the game at my local gamestop, it being a prequel to Final Fantasy VII. I'm not saying the gameplay was the best, but it was enjoyable, and seemed more inventive than most final fantasy game battle systems. What really got me about the game were the amazing looking cutscenes. I can honestly say that it was the most beautiful game I've ever played
I watched Trigun again today. I've seen it so many times, but it still reaches to me each and every time I watch it. I think I'm gunna watch it again in a few days.
Well, I'm tired. I think I like writing like this, so expect more. LOVE & PEACE!
