I spent my summer on watching american TV series and came back to watching anime only now. It's high time to have done with spring ongoings.
Arakawa Under the Bridge is a story about a rich guy, who can't allow himself being indebted to somebody else, find himself in the situation when a girl, living in the riverbank, saved his life. So he stays with her to pay back his "debt". It turns out that there are a lot of strange people who also live under the bridge.
For example, kappa

Arakawa Under the Bridge is full of absurd and wtf situations, but character gallery is nice and wide, so 13 ep. went fast. Autumn promises the second season and i think i'll follow it. While scoring i hesitated for a moment, but in the end i gave it 8, in the end not every day i watch something like Arakawa Under the Bridge.

and one more shot, only because of my love for Snufkin =3

long time no see, all the invisible readers of my blog and little marmotte!
here i am, back again with interesting-to-nobody reviews and oohs and wows about anime. so, wait for huge middle-summer anime entry.
since i was here for the last time, MAL replaced a nice counter from the page of anime and manga lists, showed the deviation of user's scores from the average. wtf?!

myself i most like the battle of Ishida vs Kurotsuchi and Rukia vs Aaroniero Arruruerie. especially the first one, as it's almost the only battle where everything has been ended not with using more powerful technique only. that's such a rare thing!

Anime Relations: Katanagatari
the story greatly resembles Lord of the Rings, but instead of the rings we have katanas here. and instead of hobbit we have a man, but as a hobbit he's the only on who can manage with those katanas. it might have been not a bad story, but the characters are too talkative, some scenes longs for more than 10 minutes because of their endless dialogues.

the answer is 'yes'

another weak-point of this show is drawing. the design of characters is just awful, especially sad to admit it considering how pleasantly water-color looks background. i just don't understand that big idea of the animators to make such ugly characters and such beautiful sceneries.

well, i haven't expected much from this show, so there is pretty a chance that i'll drop it starting from the second or the third ep.

upd. in the end i wasn't able to cope with such talkative characters and lack of action. dropped at the 17th minute of the second ep.

Kino is a little, but cool-hearted and well-armed girl, who drives her motorcycle from one country to another. she is a traveller and don't stay anywhere longer than for three days. countries which she visits aren't that common, they're allegories of different social problems/social diseases/social features. this show is a number of parables, rather specific, but still pretty nice to watch.

i've waited for it so eagerily, checking different torrent-trackers every week, but in the end i've almost forgotten about it. xDDD

what do we have here?
