Anime Relations: Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Episode 0

One of the recent announcements that I am most excited about is the anime adaptation of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, a popular light novel series written by Yomi Hirasaka and illustrated by Buriki. In addition to a TV series to be produced by AIC Build and aired on TBS (cast info here), the seventh volume of the light novel, which is scheduled to be published on September 22nd, will be bundled with an OAD, as well.



Not sure if it's a matter of colour tones or something else, but the characters in the single image on the TV anime official website look distinctively different from those in the original illustrations (so much so that they almost look like different people). Hopefully the gap will be narrowed considerably in production releases.

Based on the posts on its official website, Maikaze Animation Studio continues to work toward its tentative goal of releasing the second episode of Musou Kakyou ~A Summer Day's Dream~ in 2011. I am looking forward to it!

On a completely unrelated side note, it's unbelievable and incomprehensible to me that a 78-year-old whose policies are clearly detrimental to Japanese cultures and economy has been re-elected as the Governor of Tokyo. It sure appears that sometimes, reality is stranger than fiction.

Even though this entry is posted only today, I have been stuck in front of TV, and my heart has been with the Japanese people, in the last few days. I have personally made three donations to different organisations including the Red Cross, and I would like to encourage others to give what they can, too.


May the souls of those who departed rest in peace, and may those who have survived find the courage to start anew.
