Anime Relations: Mokke

This is a story about two sisters: Shizuru, is a high school student who is able to see ghosts while her younger sister, Mizuki, is haunted by these apparitions. Frustrated by their abilities, their parents decided to entrust the sisters into the care of their grandparents who live in the countryside. As they adapt to life in the countryside, Shizuru and Mizuki begin to learn about the importance of coexisting nature with these apparitions.

My first thoughts on the first couple of episodes. I have seen 7 episodes so far.

There is a lot I like about this series. It's very sweet. And I don't mean sweet in a corny way. The animation is really great. Especially the surroundings and scenes with trees. The sisters are also very nice. The support cast isn't bad. Nothing too cliché.

But there is one thing I don't like about this series. It's very episodic, kinda like a Spirit Of The Week series. And that's a big turn off for me.

Because of all the good points, I think I will watch some more episodes. But the priority will be very low. Up till now I watched 2 episodes in every anime session. But now the frequency will drop to once in a while.

If I'm wrong and this series turns out to have an actual ongoing story to it, please feel free to drop me a line. Because I really like almost everything about this series. But Monster/Spirit Of The Week is a rare but big turn off.
