Clannad After Story

Clannad: After Story

Currently at 8 of 24 episodes of Clannad ~After Story~.
So far it seems to take place during the events of the original series. However there is less of a focus on the main plot of Clannad and instead focuses on the relationships of our two main characters Tomoyo and Nagisa have with their friends and less on resurrecting the drama club which was the focus of Clannad. The chronology seems to begin sometime in the original series and slowly fades out of it.

Completed all 24 episodes of Clannad ~After Story~
The remaining episodes of After Story had me on the edge of my seat. They were filled with plot twists and turns. I was little upset (who am I kidding, very upset) after they killed off Nagisa. Even though without that plot twist it wouldn't have been a very good watch. The following episode(s) showed his downward spiral into the life father led. However, he soon recovered after some intervention by Nagisa's parents. Also that event allowed to finally reconcile the differences he had with his father. I also did like when they brought Nagisa back to life, however I am still a bit confused on that happened. It was almost like the past five years had never happened, yet he was left the memory of it actually happening. I did also like how she was indirectly influenced by Tomoyo her first year as a senior. The ending is what I hoped for and may rewatch the series later.
Overall rating 7/10
I really did enjoy watching this series along with the original series Clannad. After Story provided a decent story with a good (but somewhat confusing) concluding story arc.
