Dear PlayStation....
Dear PlayStation,
I love the PS3. It’s an awesome entertainment system for gaming, Blu-ray, and more. But sadly, I’m currently getting a little pissed off at the whole “It Only Does Everything” tag line. You’re far from this in two areas which I very much wish you can rectify: Your web browser and digital video playback. You see, my PS3 has become the center of my living room entertainment, just like you wanted. But I’m a big anime fan who watches a lot of his anime digitally. There are a lot of legitimate ways for me to watch anime online now like on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu. The problem? I can’t watch any of their videos through your web browser. It makes me very sad. Then my alternative is fansubs, most of which are released in mkv format these days. The problem this time? You don’t have mkv video playback! That really sucks. I’ve found a way of converting these videos to a format the PS3 can read, but the subtitles have a tendency to come out a little weird and sometimes the conversion doesn’t work at all.
So please PlayStation, fix your web browser and update your video playback. It really shouldn’t be very hard. You should be able to include it in one of your little system updates and everything should be good to go. Thank you.

Amen to that, It does everything... but play PS2 games LOL. I tried to watch more of the anime you gave me on it but it wont work T.T. (I tried to stream it from my laptop) ended up hooking the laptop back to the tv.

Dude, you should really send them this letter! Maybe they really would consider fixing it, you never know. It would definitely make watching anime a lot easier! :)
