WARNING: BECAUSE OF REASONS I MUST TELL EVERYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 TO GET OUT OF MY BLOG! OBEY OR I’LL BE DEFENESTRATED! ALSO BE WARY OF WILD ROAMING SPOILERS! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

Welcome back. Last time the final villain was vanquished for good and that left me enough free time to come do a special blog for Topaz and all that.

: Feels good being back home after this long...

Chiaki, please cut down on the serious sentences. Remember how awful I’m at pulling serious writing.

: Sorry.

: So, who was the special homage girl featured for this anniversary blog?

This! *opens the door and reveals a green-haired ponytail young girl*

: Oh, the one from that game Riri made me play some time ago!

: Awesome work bringing...

: ...For this blog!

: Thanks for that... But this picture looks very strange.

Since sadly you aren’t in MAL had to get more creative. Plus this lets you double as the mecha girl.

: Oh, that makes sense.

: Zettai, thought that only April Fools could host video game girls.

Well, the anniversary blog is a little weird anyway, remember that I did Senne who is not from anime either, yet. Special cases can be allowed every now and then.

: Ah.

That, and already was planning to write this as a guest blog and might as well not get rid of the already done bits.

: Now that suits you many times more.

: Hope this blog goes better than the other one...

Luckily this time the plot is all over already, so no villains threatening the blog peace.

: Then please work hard in the weekly blog.

Head

Hair
Terra has green hair. Technically her hair is blonde in the official art, but green is what the game had and as such people associate her with it, fanarts included. This actually went back all the way and thus made Square give Terra green hair in every appearance onwards. She has blonde hair in her Dissidia alternate costume though. Leaving this aside Terra’s hair could be better as the bangs show rather clearly off her forehead and she has those odd bangs from classic games where one side is lifted much more than the other. It kinda looks like she has sarcastic bangs. Ponytails are nothing particularly special for that matter. Still, overall the hair isn’t bad for the time. When in Trance mode she has long and crazy pink hair that looks pretty good, too bad Trance is not appealing for otherwise this could help with the score. Oh, and note she lets her hair down for the ending and looks neat.
Grade: B

Eyes
Terra has green eyes in the original game. The clarification is needed because Dissidia went with blue eyes because. But originally are green like her hair and that’s pretty cool. Sadly the sprites are too small for any rating and the small eyes from official art nothing great. Ironically is Dissidia what helps here since eyes there look more normal. The true savior is Trance mode actually since there for unknown welcome reasons Terra gets red eyes instead, hence saving this score somewhat.
Grade: B+

: There! *puts some glasses on Terra of the thick black kind*

: Oh!

Looks really good!

: Thanks, better wearing glasses than turning into them by some evil villains...

: Wow, after all this time she remembers that plot.

Of course, everything that Topaz has written rocks!

: Well, except the many chesty blogs last year you freaked out about. *smirks*

Sorry... *cries*

: Please don’t feel like that... *hugs Zettai for some comfort*

: Look, for comforting Zettai this works better. *puts his hands on Terra’s butt without shame*

: Ah! *flusters*

YES! *feels much better*

: Idiot.

Body

Build
Terra has measurements! Only basic ones, but still works. Height is 160 cm and weight is 48 kg meaning about average, nothing special but not terrible. And while in official art Terra looks pale and thin that sadly defines all Amano designed characters anyway so she only can get partial credit. Dissidia works better since she looks slender and has a modest bust size, tho predictably she could have far better legs too. Perhaps the most defining Terra feature is she’s actually half Esper/Phantom Beast because SNES FFs sure love their mixed heritage leads. This allows for a special transformed form already mentioned before known as Trance form that basically gives her pink fur and the already mentioned hair and eyes. Looks kinda neat but is not too sexy, and the game had some conflict with this form since Terra feared that “her” children would find her scary when transformed but luckily the kids were fine, glad everything worked out okay. Also as a curiosity while everyone else has blood type listed officially Terra does not for some reason. Okay, neither does Shadow but he’s a mysterious enigma of enigmatic mystery anyway.
Grade: B

: Hey.

: Yes?

: Mind coming with me to the kitchen now?

: Not this again...

: Uh, okay! *follows the loli*

: Thanks, and now time for DINNER!

: Wait, what are you doing now with- AAAAAAAH! *moans and enjoys*

Hope that Topaz is fine with offscreen perversion, but since the Reina thing was amazing bet he’ll be fine with this too.

: Bet that he enjoys this too, ugh...

: That was magical! *comes out of the kitchen all happy*

: Wow... That was intense... But felt good... *blushes*

Butt
Terra does show her butt by going Trance in Dissidia games. It’s nothing amazing but at least beats getting the default “never shows it” score and stuff. Though aside Live-a-Live female enemies few girls from the 16-bits age have notable asses.
Grade: C-

Clothes
Terra only has one costume, but at least not too bad. The costume is a red strapless short dress with a floral pattern all around, detached sleeves with bridal gloves, a rather long pink cape, some odd and for some reason pareo-like thing around the waist and hips, white patterned pantyhose, and red and golden heels with a really pointy tip. The alternate color in Dissidia changes the red for blue because the tradition says red costumes on player 2 always become blue. Green is just very yellowy blue. Jokes aside the costume is fine for a classic RPG heroine and the pantyhose helps too. The game also features several types of armor included something called the Minerva Bustier but they don’t change looks sadly. While normally this entails weaker scores Terra deserves some slack because older gaming was all like that. If only this was Tactics Layer this would look much better.
Grade: B

: Right, also got for you these sweet costumes... *hands to Terra a bag with clothes*

: What are they?

: An open front sweater and a shirt with buttons that fly off easily.

: ...That sounds like really weird clothing.

: Maybe, but wear it and someone will be really happy.

: Okay!

Mind

Personality
Terra was born from a human and an Esper in the Esper World because some furries get lucky. Sadly soon after the evil Empire attacked the Esper World and started killing Espers for fun and profit until the survivors closed the gate forever. However, before that some accused Terra’s human mother of guiding the Empire to them and she tried to leave during the attack so Terra’s dad went fast about preventing this. Sadly this failed and Terra and her parents ended outside instead. Worse, the mom ended leaving Terra in doggy Emperor Gestahl’s care and she raised him as the loyal and obedient murder machine all supervillains want. This lasted until she met the frozen Esper Tritoch and was then saved by thief treasure hunter Locke and his royal friend Edgar because all the males love mysterious distressed damsels. Jokes aside she then joined the rebel army of the Returners and tried to get Tritoch’s help only to freak out and Trance in her own Esper form and then fly away and away. After many adventures the heroes found her and helped her recall her true identity finally. To summarize lots of things happened and the world went down but she found love from orphans and helped take down the beloved villain that ruined the world. Along with her many allies naturally.

Due to the unnatural upbringing and amnesia Terra has problems understanding herself and low confidence, not to mention since she has no idea what is love and fears she might be strange for that reason since normal people love. Over time she builds more confidence thanks to her loyal caring allies, and the love comes from the orphans she cares for and protects dearly. This perhaps sounds somewhat scarce but for the era this much character was pretty good really. Terra may not be my favorite girl but she was a solid likable heroine. On gameplay purposes she is a mage knight and therefore has powerful magic while also being able to wear some armor and use the best swords. She has access to really good equips and several of the best weapons included the strongest sword meaning that for the entire game she’s a very solid character, as well as learning some magic naturally and having access to her Trance ability that lets her rip bosses apart by dealing massive damage while taking less. Easily the best character in the game overall, and even in the various self-imposed challenges she’s pretty good too. That really helps with making her a pretty good character overall.
Grade: B

Libido
Terra sadly does poorly here due not only to not having a love interest but not even knowing what love is for that matter. That leads her to not understand Edgar hitting on her and other such stuff during the game. Even when she understands love it basically was closer to parental/family love than romantic love. The only thing she has going for her here is the Onion Knight pairing some like because that surely caters to Topaz and his straight shota antics. Cool for Dissidia helping once again. Aside from that she gets mostly paired with Edgar when everyone knows Relm was the one destined for the drill king. Maybe the closest would be Leo but he seemed more of a caring mentor guy. Still, even if the libido is weak Terra is still very charming.
Grade: C

: What is love...?

Baby don't hurt me. Don't hurt me. No more.

: Huh?

Huh, never mind that.

: Well, okay!

: Hope for Topaz that someday Terra finds about THAT love with one of these Mobliz boys for fun... Ufufu...

: Boys are cute!

: Keep thinking that, good thinking there!

Agreed! Though watch out since sometimes childhood love goes poorly...

: Huh... Is it normal for Zettai to blankly stare at empty space for several seconds....?

: Oh, that must mean he’s having a fantasy scene happen.

: Just wait until he starts blinking again.

: Phew.

Age
Terra is 18 years old and turns 19 by the second half. Sadly for her I came with the rating system way back then and as such her score ends kinda meh. Sorry. For kicks her birthday is officially listed and case someone cares is the 18th of October so late happy birthday.
Grade: C+

Voice
Yukari Furui voices Terra in Dissidia or rather Tina being more accurate, and has a sweet and kind voice that works just right for Terra. If only it meant Trance gave Terra a sexy bodysuit and not went furry that would help loads.
Grade: B+

Total: 65 (B-)

: And thought Topaz ranked me low but this was worse...

Sorry, blame the age and him minding some stuff less.

: Still, thanks for blogging about me and hope Topaz enjoyed this blog.

Naturally!

: Now, sorry but must-

Voice: WAIT!

Who? *suddenly from within the shadows a terrible figure clad in flashy pink appears*

: Zettai, great work defeating my useless puppet Rosemary and all her equally useless toys... but now you must face the real REAL princess before everything ends!

Huh, actually maybe you should wait another week.

: Eeeeh?

Yeah, sorry but Toei felt this awful season had to last 50 episodes and might as well score you once the whole crap finally ends for good.

: Next time, the winter black hair girl get blogged early.

: Heard how she was BARE and liked girls!
