Anime Relations: Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Tsuioku-hen, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Jormungand, JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV)
Taku Iwasaki is a fairly well known composer who's worked on a lot of great anime. His style has shifted very radically over the years from the clear classical influence in his early works like the OST for Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal (which is amazing btw, its a prequel to the original series so you don't have to watch the T.V series to understand it) to embracing the more modern music of this generation like dubstep with his work on the Jojo (2012) OST. Also tends to have a focus on hip-hop music, which you don't see much of in anime. I feel like he was influenced quite a lot by Kenji Kawai as well. I really like his stuff, a lot of variety and his recent stuff especially is really high-energy. Great for listening to in the gym. So yeah here is some my favorite pieces of his

Yeah really talented guy. I'm sure he'll be a mainstay of the industry at the rate he's going, he's worked on a ton of stuff and is still going strong. A few of the shows he's worked on include TTGL, Jormungand and Black Cat.
