Anime Relations: Black Lagoon, Ookami to Koushinryou, Canaan, Code:Breaker, No Game No Life, Love Stage!!

Protagonist is one really important piece of the series. Their
beliefs and attitude sets the course of the whole thing. A good protagonist
isn't any helpless whiner, but not any infallible superhero either. They are
the characters who the watcher can mostly identify with.

These characters make the series interesting to
watch through their eyes.

And I'm going to excuse those protagonists in my favourite
characters lists
, because obviously if I love them, I also like their way
of building the story forward.

So, all the best for Nice, Eren, Kaneki, Rin and Akane, but lets give
others their fifteen minutes of fame.

Sora & Shiro No Game No Life
Only example of working protagonists duo I've seen. They balance each
other
, and project the blatantly supernatural feeling of the series to the
max. And it's always great to see a really fanservish/lolistylish girl who
aren't just a helpless babe but a kick-ass heroine.

Rock Black Lagoon
This series hadn't worked as well without Rocks stern innocense. His
personality was needed to calm Revy's exploding awesomeness and
bringing it up at the same time.

Izumi Love Stage!!
Oh, my cute little Izumi. He's just has just the right amount of the
serious honesty to bring up the comedy of the series without making
it to underlined.

Sakura Code:Breaker
A little Miss Moral book. But when you get rid of you first irritation,
you actually start to respect her tireless attitude to change the world
for the better. And with all the code-breakers with awesome abilities,
the series needs this kind of feet-on-the-ground character as a
protagonist.

Lawrence Ookami to Koushiyou
Holo couldn't shine in her quirky and sassy personality without calmer
and quieter counterpart. The interaction beyween these two is the one
thing that makes Spice and Wolf so unique.

Maria Canaan
I don't even know how this girl does it - being so uncaringly optimistic
and hype all the time without being unnatural or irritating. Her seemingly
naïve behaviour hides many characteristics that everyone should adapt
and learn to respect.
