Welcome back. After reviewing the first of the assy girls Takane sent me as an epic birthday present and giving Topaz his much-deserved gift, is time for me to cover a second girl...

Head

Hair
Kodama’s hair is blonde. Traditionally I’m not big in blondes, though Kodama isn’t as bad as others. Must be the specific shade or something. While her front bangs aren’t anything special her sidebangs are nice, ending in cute small braids. Her hairstyle is cute twintails hold by green hair bobbles, though her twintails are unusual; besides being quite long they’re wavy, when twintails are usually straight. I think they look really nice! The few times we see her with her hair down it is quite wavy too, and long though never obstructing her butt. Kodama has nice hair overall.
Grade: B

Eyes
Meanwhile Kodama’s eyes are green. Well, at least they aren’t blue! Haruko has them and that’s bad for her, but the series itself doesn’t spam blue/green eyes so good for Kodama. Her eyes are otherwise pretty good, as they’re a nice unusual green shade matching her hair bobbles and works fine with her hair, plus the shape is a perfect tsurime and looks impressive! I also can’t shake the feeling she’s worn glasses in a chapter somewhere, but I can’t assure she did so she gets no credit for that. I blame having a meganekko VA. She also changes eye colors briefly when using one of her shikigami, to a nice yellow, but this doesn’t happen enough to matter much. Her eyes are still pretty of course, but still!
Grade: B

Body

Build
Kodama’s body is AMAZING. While sadly this series lacks actual height and weight measurements she’s clearly the small and cute type. Her three sizes are 74/53/78 and is the third flattest girl in the cast counting the twins as one character, both in chest and butt. The latter is a blatant lie as I’ll cover later, but her chest does look flat and very sexy! Really, her chest is just PERFECT for my tastes, and the first anime makes it even better by showing she has small nipples and areolas. The Xebec anime sadly makes her a tad bustier because it’s not their best work, hah, but even there she has a small bust size. Focusing on the manga and the good anime she has a flat stomach as well, and very nice thighs. VERY nice. Any sane man would love to be scissorholded by her! Her feet are glorious as well, even. She has pretty much my dream proportions!

She is SO sexy even her issues don’t deter her! See, she has a bit of a DFC complex, though in the Xebec special she says her chest and butt are her friends. I’d gladly befriend her butt too. Also we see what at first seemed to be a grown-up version of her, with an image calling her “Adult Kodama!?” for more chaos. This then turned to be just her seemingly identical except curvy and adult-bodied mother as she was now one of Kodama’s many shikigami. Thanks for the trolling, bros. I’m glad Kodama remained always a loli, even if her current body is just a Maken construct, but still. Speaking of the shikimommy Takeru the lead stares at her ass and tries to touch it; and people say this guy is like Issei but worse, HAH. But seriously, Kodama’s body is just flawless!
Grade: A+

Butt
Much like her body Kodama’s ass is AMAZING as well, being surprisingly big for her loli body, though mostly in the manga. The good anime gives her a great ASS JIGGLE scene as well, the second loli with an ass jiggle that season. The first official image of said anime was focused on her butt as well, and official art tends to show her from behind though that’s partially the “butts are for flat girls to show” bias. Her case is easily forgivable, of course! The only thing Kodama is really lacking for a perfect score is recognition by the fans, sadly she gets focus like a regular perverse loli and even then Miss Aki’s oversized chest hogs much of the fanart. A pity, Kodama’s ass is love!

Clothes
While Kodama’s wardrobe is great her school uniform... Isn’t. It’s an utterly generic sailor uniform, of the short skirt variation but otherwise as bland it gets. At least she adds black thighhighs to redeem it a little. Thankfully, everything else she wears is made of awesome! For starters her underwear is NOT the typical cutesy bland type most lolis wear as Inaho gets that; instead Kodama is naughty and wears thongs and black frilly panties of various types, and in general it’s all very lacy and frilly and sexy for her underclothes. That’s awesome and more lolis should wear sexy underwear! Her private wardrobe is also awesome since it’s all gothloli-esque frilly costumes and lots of similar elegant beautiful outfits, she’s gorgeous! Also, while her school uniform is very bland she does wear a school swimsuit AND a gym uniform and looks great on both! A tagless swimsuit and a navy blue buruma, but still. On top of that you can add several cosplays she’s worn like waitress, nurse or bunnygirl, an official image of her in typical dominatrix gear, a frilly one-piece swimsuit, a naughty string swimsuit, and many other costumes. Seriously, if she had a few more cosplays and her school uniform wasn’t so bland she’d be perfect, but even then Kodama’s clothing is amazing!

Mind

Personality
Kodama is the daughter of the first prince of the Yamato period and the former Yamata no Orochi that is also a woman but not a goddess any more since having children makes you lose your divinity for some reason. They were attacked by Kodama’s evil uncle who is not named Scar so her parents sacrificed to save their children and then Kodama’s elder brother she loved very much even if he was unable to appreciate his pear-shaped imouto sealed her so she’d survive. Kodama at first didn’t want to leave the seal, but seeing the outside world from the present she got interested and wanted to leave. Thankfully Minori using her Maken and being awesome in general weakened the seal and left Kodama make herself a fake body made of pure Maken so she could roam the world, though she couldn’t go far from her seal until she got herself a stone full of Maken. This is one of the few instances where a busty girl named Minori actually made her series better, so go the GAR principal! She at first antagonized Takeru as she confused him with an enemy, but then saw he’s actually a good guy and started liking him. In fact thanks to Minori she was able to stay with him, Inaho and Haruko so MORE credit for Minori! What an awesome underrated character. Kodama wasn’t too relevant in the first battle arc as sadly she got to play damsel in distress, tho once they untied her from the rails she proved to actually be competent. Kodama had FAR more screentime in the second battle arc, as we learned her backstory and got more action and to be relevant and kickass. The third arc hasn’t been covered very far by scanlations so I dunno, but she seems relevant already so she better stay this way!

Personality-wise Kodama seems a tsundere, but not quite. She’s more of a domdere, a sadistic or dominant girl with a cute side. Not just cute as in have sweet moments with Takeru, but also for liking teddy bears. The latter clashes amusingly with her sexy and frilly taste in clothing, but I don’t mind. Her hobby is shopping; insert here an overused joke on how all women love shopping. Her Maken or superpower is called Yasakani, no relation with a certain snake goddess or maybe yes. It lets her summon shikigami to do her bidding. These include: Kaguzuchi, who allows her to control fire; Ikachiji, does the same with lightning; and Nojichi, the same but for wood. She’s not to be confused with Kodama’s lovely ass that causes “wood” as well. Her mother and father are shikigami of her after their death too, but we only see the mother do things. On top of that she’s considered S-Rank and among the strongest characters in the series. Overall Kodama is just great, her scenes are always fun and sexy and her sad past combined with dommish personality make her quite wonderful! She could be better of course, stuff like pervert punishment is so démodé, but overall the good easily outweigh the bad. Go Kodama!

Libido
Kodama in the past was clearly incestuous for her “Oniisama” even if sadly he was too dumb to notice her. She also says Takeru reminds her of him, which makes her interest on him even better. That alone is good, but on top of that Kodama is a bit of a sadist, though sadly this isn’t show that often and the best scene technically was a dream. Still, it shows Kodama is great in this regard! She needs more pride on herself, though her sexy underwear and of all things her Xebec special certainly help on that. She also had problems with girls and guys having swimming class together, but that chapter was a particularly stupid one so I’m not gonna hold it against her.
Grade: A-

Age
Kodama is a second year high schooler, so in theory 16-17 and a year older than either of her love interests, but given her status as both a loli and a bit of a dom it’s not too bad. However, given she’s a “lolihag” that has lived for 2000 years sort of and her body might be non-aging now she should get higher. However there’s no proof she really is non-aging now, so she can’t get full credit.

Voice
Sayuri Yahagi has a very cute voice I enjoy and works pretty well for Kodama. Plus Kodama has a weird speech pattern; in her case she speaks like an old person but I am unable to get that right in dialogue, sorry. Xiaomu from Namco crossovers also speaks like that and is an awesome flat-chested blonde girl, there might be a pattern! Or prolly not. Sayuri Yahagi also did another small twintailed blonde loli in Suzu from Seitokai Yakuindomo but sadly no one seems to have done a pic of the two together. Shame!
