Anime Relations: Ranma ½, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Hayate no Gotoku!, Seto no Hanayome, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu, K-On!!
I did say I'd be putting out posts like these, so here's a bare-bones first one after the more thorough Lovable Hyperincompetents post (I'm sure I forgot at least three of them)

1. Seto no Hanayome episode 20 - Lunar's father doesn't really understand what his daughter is going through. Lunar's father plans to fix this by playing a bunch of galges and taking the lines completely out of context and use them in daily life. Lunar's dad will do this not with the protagonist's lines, but with the girls' lines, and he will dress up as a schoolgirl in order to help himself and Sun's father to gain a deeper understanding of moe. If you don't know what Lunar's father looks like, he looks like a blond version of the Terminator. This scares the bejesus out of everyone in the entire school.

2. Ranma 1/2 episode 2: School Is No Place For Horsing Around - In general, my favorite Ranma seasons were 3 and 4, but the absolute best single episode was the introduction of Tatewaki Kuno, the "Blue Thunder of Furinkan High School" - please note that he is the only person who has ever called himself thus.

3. Bobobo-Bo Bo-bobo episode 17 - Beauty has been kidnapped, and the only way to rescue her is... to have the entire team also dress up as Beauty, even though one of you is a 7-foot tall man with an afro! I don't... how is this going to help?

4. Hayate no Gotoku s1 episode 36 - Klaus, the head butler of the Sanzenin mansion, seems to not be good at his job anymore, and decides to retire to a farm in Brazil thanks to some subliminal messaging (note: there are no tigers in Brazil, this is important). The highlight of the episode is Klaus' appearance in Hayate's class, where he has "quit being human" (there are a lot of references in this one), and leaps out of the window with a resounding ZUGYUN! which still kills me every time I see it.

5. Dragonball Z (US), episode 82, "Explosion of Anger" - Goku has just gone Super Saiyan at the end of episode 81, and now he is going to curb-stomp the hell out of Freeza in the most satisfying shonen episode beatdown of all time. Goku is the ally to good, and nightmare to you; it's been like twelve years since I heard that on a Toonami commercial and it is still one of my favorite lines.

6. Dragonball Z US episode 262, "Evil Kid Buu" - "No! Stop! If you pull that out... I won't be me anymore!" Despite being a total asshole in recent episodes, Super Buu implores Vegeta not to rip the Fat Buu cocoon out of his head, else bad things will happen - even though I never figured out why he didn't just revert to the lanky gray Evil Buu. Vegeta rips out the Fat Buu cocoon and escapes with it, and he and Goku land safely only to feel Majin Buu transforming again - he first becomes twice as big as he was as Super Buu, who probably had sheer power greater than anything in DBZ, before he lets off steam and becomes the Kid Buu, which gets a quick laugh before we see the Supreme Kai cowering in fear. What does he know about this Little Buu that we don't? Again, seven years later the line still sticks with me. Kid Buu was totally, completely insane and without reason; he was one of a kind.

7. Bobobo-Bo Bo-bobo episode 33: The gang travels to Calamity Canyon, the battleground of the second Heavenly King, OVER. The Canyon is filled with bear traps and cannons, and several of the cannons purposely launch you directly into said bear traps. Who thought that was a good idea? Don Patch and Jelly Jiggler try to help Bobobo by sending him weapons through the cannons; these are spears that are basically only good for impaling you in midair when you try to grab them, and at one point a two-story house is shot out of a cannon, despite Bobobo claiming that "A TWO STORY HOUSE ISN'T A WEAPON!" before he smacks into it face-first. This show was a weird one.

8. Hayate no Gotoku s1 episode 1: A young boy meets Santa Claus for the first time. This young boy is informed by Santa Claus that he will not be getting any presents this year... because his family is poor. My favorite opening hook to an anime series. What kind of terrible world does this guy live in? We've got to find out.

9. Baka to Test to Shokanjuu s1 episode 5 - The Scavenger Hunt. Akihisa needs to win some phone straps to make up for some that he broke, and the only way to do this is by answering test questions correctly... or throwing up wild-ass guesses from your pencil and getting coordinates that place the prizes in mid-air. That might work too. The hunt eventually leads them to several restrooms, a locker with a dog in it, and the Ironman teacher in his boxers, as well as one of the greatest reaction faces ever.

10. K-On!! season 2 episode 13: I've mentioned before that this episode is special because Yui deciding to teach me the proper way to eat corn was the first time I had laughed since being told I would need a kidney transplant. As a whole, this episode had too much swimsuit Azunyans but those 25 seconds of corn-eating Yuis more than made up for it.

11. Sora no Otoshimono, season 1 episode 4: The Exploding Panties episode. Really, that's all I need to say about it. This crossed the line about seven times. Uproariously hilarious.

12. Code Geass: s1 episode 22: "Blood Stained Euphy" - This was, oh man, what if I told you to kill all the Japanese indeed. Most of the episodes on this list have been comedies. This one was not.

13. School Rumble episode 2: Harima tries to cheat to help out idiot Tenma on a test she is going to fail; what he does not take into account is that he is also an idiot, and after he fails the test, he writes her name on the test and she fails anyway. This is not the dumbest thing Harima does in this episode. He also decides to take the place of a doctor for the school physicals. He is assigned a nurse, who had the exact same idea and is also Tenma. The physicals don't go through, mercifully.

14. GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class episode 8: Kisaragi has experiences with surrealism, including falling through the sky and being attacked by sentient paint. We also meet magical witch Nodamiki, who loses her powers when she drinks white paint, turning her into a weaker pastel variant. Who knew drinking paint was bad for you?

I'm sure I could come up with some more given a bit of time, but it's 8 in the morning and I haven't slept. Cut me some slack.
