Week 7 is yet again a slow week, but I decided to throw in video games into the mix this time around.

VIDEO GAMES:The creators of a famous, if not the only famous hedgehog around, for the first video game entry, it'll be Sega.

With this, and the last game before it, it's totally and finally safe to say that Sonic the hedgehog is back, and personally, I missed him.

This game takes the good parts from the sonic games of the past 20 years and combines them into what can be called a celebration of Sonic's history, both the good and bad accepted. The game plays like half Sonic the hedgehog 4 and half Sonic Colors, with classic sonic getting the nothing but the side scrollers, and modern sonic getting half and half, both side scrolling and racing game-este levels, which works great. This game is nothing but an impressive tribute to the blue blur, but isn't without it's annoyances.
Glitches are still uncommon, and sonic himself is a little hard to handle at times.
But, the amount of fan love is present in so many ways, from re-imagined stages from almost every sonic game (Yes, even Sonic the hedgehog 2006), to classic yet disappointingly easy boss fights.
The story is bare bones, but the cut scenes are chok full of inside jokes and amusing references that'll get a laugh out of any sonic faithful.
Yet, the one thing that should have stayed away is all of sonic's irritating friends, they're all here too, plus 2x the Tails the fox. And there is a plenty of little side missions to play, but they're very gimmicky and not worth the effort except to sonic fans and completests.
Do I Recommend It? You know what? I do, it's fun, it's funny, and it's more than enough proof that Sega still loves their mascot, this game is a literal blast from the past. Score: 8/10.

ANIME:Only one title, but it's a blast from the past (I know I said that already), a little something something from Geneon.

It's dirty, it's full of bullets, it's Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage, Complete Collection Steel Book, released by Geneon.

I wish it was season one, but I digress, it's looks great, it really makes me miss those releases, where geneon blows their budget and allow us to grab something pretty nice.
It's very durable, and it has it's own feel, different from anything else I've brought so far (As of this blog post).
It's a four disk set, and one of them has nothing more than extras, which is great.
The best part? This set is over $200.00 online, I found this, used, yet almost perfect, as if it was never touched, for only $20.00... I couldn't pass up this amazing deal.
Do I Recommend It? No, if you can find it at your brick and mortar store, definitely, but it's a bank breaker at it's price.

MANGA:Two titles, Kodansha and Yen Press, that's all folks!

First up, new material, as in past the movie, The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya volume 10, released by Yen Press.

New material, especially since it's haruhi, where most fans are stuck with the anime series, it's time to move on, haruhi fans, grab them up.

Next up, another continuation, Negima volume 29, released by Del- I mean Kodansha.

Well, I can only literally say the same thing I said about the other volumes I purchased weeks ago.
The item itself is made very well (As expected from Del Rey... I mean Kodansha) that includes a lot of extras.
Overall, another quality product for negima fans to enjoy for $10.99.

Overall: Sonic fans are treated to a good sonic game (which is a blessing nowadays), I found some treasure, and manga are as good as always are.

A- for this week.

I think video games are going to be a good part to this blog, and next week... I have no clue, but it'll be something?
