Animelo is THE biggest concert of anime music in Japan. It is usually held one of the last weeks of August. 2008 marked the first year where the concert is spread on 2 days, August 30 and August 31, where nearly 40 different music groups, voice actors and anime music performers gather.

The reason I was so obsessed with this event is because I am an avid fan of anime music and nearly 50% of all my all-time favorite singers and voice actresses participated in this mega-concert.

The singers that were impressive in the 2008 concert were May'n (Macross Frontier as Sheryl Nome's singing voice and Shangri-la OP), m.o.v.e (Initial D), Nana Mizuki (Nanoha, White Album), AKINO (Sousei no Aquarion), Chiaki Ishikawa (Gundam 00 ED) and of course JAM Project (Keroro, Mazinger Super Robot Taisen, with individual members having performed famous songs from Dragon Ball Z, Saint Seiya, Slayers)
