haha, I have to laugh every time I see someone mention realistic as their reason to like or not like an anime. I mean, WTF are you watching anime for if you're looking for realism? Are you fucking kidding me?

This isn't this first time I have wondered wtf these people are thinking, but I was browsing this thread earlier and was seriously dumbfounded. The thread is titled; "What's your reason for not liking BLEACH?" (if you comment this post, do NOT post your reason for not liking the show, I don't give a damn if you like it or not), now, there were some people with valid reasons for not liking Bleach, though there were many with utter ridiculous reasons. Among those, the 'the characters never die, it's unrealistic' reason is the one that was the stupidest. I've already stated that seeking realism in anime is insane, but of all the anime shows out there, why Bleach? Is there an ounce or realism in the show at all? The fact that the characters never die despite incredible injury/blood loss is the ONLY unrealistic factor? LMAO

Bleach isn't the only show that I've seen that argument used with and I am just as dumbfounded when I see it used with other series. Seeking realism from a shōnen series is just plain stupid despite what series it is. You could name any series out there and I could name at least two unrealistic factors. And let me just say this now, one of them would always be; "it's animated".
