Haha, oh wow. Around mid-episode I was wondering what exactly was the value of cool and aloof bishies in shoujo who never/hardly acknowledge the protagonist before realising that the show was going to prove me wrong. Kudos to that.

This might come as a shock to some of you, but a heroine that isn't unassertive definitely is refreshing, because spineless girls who let themselves get pushed around are rather horrible characters to root for/sympathise with. Having just turned the tables (this is also nothing like how I'd expected it to go) on the direction I expected it to go, watching episode 02 should be a no-brainer. Subversion ftw.
