I'm surprised to hear tj praising Sankaku Complex, however facetiously, while decrying the increasing proportion of noise (if that must be our metaphor) to signal on Anime Nano. Apart from its interesting triangle diagram and the odd interesting post, Sankaku is very much noise. (Insert proviso about one man's wine being another's poison.)

But isn't this what personal RSS readers are for?

I think tj is not really talking about SNR per se. It's more along the lines of effort versus reward. "increasing noise" merely means he has to put in more effort now than before to get whatever that rewards tj_han's little brain for the exercise of wading through feeds or whatever.

Sankaku Complex, despite being mostly a noisy relay kind of a site, does have rewarding content for him. So it works out for him because even if Sankaku Complex delivers one out of 5 or 10, that's better "SNR" than animenano.

It's an obligatory measure to pimp one's blog(s) via Nano & Antennae, but I never really browse the two...
