So I'm reading a ton of titles right now and I just added two more shounen ones - no not Naruto or Bleach those are givens. I started reading (totally by accident) two other titles that are actually a bit similar in story and feel but couldn't be more different in art style.

Kurozakuro is about a boy, Sakurai Mikito, who is possessed by a demon like create and occasionally turns into an "ogre" - a violent creature that lives to slaughter and eat humans (he resists the later). He has a strange relationship with the creature who possesses him and they have nice chats. Sakurai Mikito refuses to lose his humanity.

Nurarihyon no Mago is about a boy, Rikuo Nura, who is half demon and occasionally turns into a demon (at night) and violently enforces the demon laws of his clan on anyone who pisses him off. He has a strange relationship with his other half which evolves as the story progresses. Rikuo Nura refuses to lose his humanity.

Nurarihyon no Mago has a lush, bishounen-esque look while Kurozakuro reminds me of Naruto-style - clean lines, not much scenery. So far both have been pretty good although neither have hit the full drama that we get with Naruto Shippuden or Bleach. I tend to like Nurarihyon no Mago a bit more because I find the art style a bit more attractive and Rikuo's demon supporters are hilarious.

Now if I can just get through more than a couple chapters of Shaman King and Fairy Tail, my list will be more balanced between shounen and shoujo titles. (Too bad I just can't get into those two - I've tried.)
