Both movies are galactic racing series pumped with spectacular colorful animation, dirty weapon-filled demolition racing, and enough badass adrenaline to kill several large elephants. Both series have a comic style set in space, and the down-on-his-luck protagonist has to rebuild himself and his resolve to win the race and get the girl at sacrifice of his own body. The only real difference is that Redline had more funding and talent behind it, so there is more polish and less restraint.

Both are fast-paced and rather crazy story-wise. The animation is also similar.

Cryptic storylines combined with racing and incredible visuals. Every aspect of these shows is designed to be as cool as possible, with unique characters and background art, besides some very weird - but cool - cars. The stories are pretty hard to follow, and you might need to rewatch them a few times before being able to fully understand what's going on.

Both are short animations that involve racing, and present races on the coolest way possible. Their aesthetics are very similar, with a lot of pure black contrasting with bright colors, and exaggerated direction. Oval x Over is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, whose style really feels like an influence to Tailenders.

"Tailenders" and "Oban Star-Racers" are both anime focused on racing where a lot is at stake. In these races, the situation is a free-for-all where violence often comes into play.

Similar animation, but Trava is more slow.

Action, epicness and MANLYNESS!!!

Both are smaller budget, short one episode OVAS by amateur or newer staff, featuring over the top action, highly stylish visuals and a very strong sense of passion behind their project. If you're someone who finds a lot of big budget anime rather stale these days, check out these passion projects, at a half hour each the time commitment is quite low, so you don't really have anything to lose trying either of them out.

Both: Mysterious girl with goggles gives superhuman powesr to a guy so he can work for her for a greater battle with an upgraded physcial body. Also the art styles are very 'sharp'.
