Both take place in a world where special superpowered people (Heroes in MHA, Huntsmen in RWBY) protect the world from evil forces. (Villains in MHA, Grimm in RWBY). In these societies, students are trained at special schools to become the next generation of protectors.

Both are magical girl series worked on by the artist Huke. You can expect similar high-octane animation and artistic themes, including the magical girls wielding transformable sci-fi weapons. The settings are also very similar, both taking place in a dream world that reflects the characters’ emotions. The protagonist (Ruby in RWBY, Mato in BRS) is also trying to rescue her friend (Weiss in RWBY, Yomi in BRS) who has closed herself off in the dream world. Considering these similarities, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that BRS had an influence on Ice Queendom’s story, considering that Huke is the creator of BRS. BRS even makes  read more

i think that soul eater NOT! is similar to RWBY, in terms of vibes, story and the main characters also only being girls, ( plus Haruka is a lot like Ruby and Anya is a lot like Weiss )
