both are weather themed movies with lots of nice to look at visuals and art.

Bittersweet love, someone turning into water/bubbles/foam, joyful moments and learning to let go, while being grateful for the time spent together. The visuals are beautiful, the stories start lighthearted, but have deeper meaning as they progress. The atmosphere is shouting summer, with romance, sadness, loss and getting back up.

Both are supernatural themed stories with a focus a group of young characters getting caught up into some strange events that is happening around them and both have a focus around water to them as well too.

The way the characters race and compete while doing acrobatic moves gives off a familiar feel and hype. Bubble shifts more towards a light drama/romance with some nuance, with the strongest focus on the aesthetics, while Air Gears is more about comedy and with better fleshed out characters.

Both shows are movies with beautiful and detailed visuals, accompanied by great animation in more dynamic sequences, top-notch direction, and good music. Their stories are centered around powerful "meteorological anomaly", however in each case the scale and character of that anomaly is different.

Romance is approached very differently in anime movies compared to anime series. I find that romance anime movies benefit from tighter narratives because emotion is better realized without having many subplots. Bubble and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time demonstrates this point perfectly. Both movies use sci-fi plot devices so that the main characters can discover their romantic feelings in the third act.

Unexplainable mega phenomenon resulting in ridiculous landscapes and physics that are hard to explain otherwise unexplainable, with darring residents live within or around and partaking in traditional events involving said phenomenon. Curious and unexplainable character introduced at the beginning, who almost instantly hits it off with the knowledgable and almost friendless main character who doesnt have parents. At the start the main character almost dies, saved by the aforementioned character, later becoming friends and is given a 3 letter long name. Main character has problems with one of their five senses, which is linked to the phenomenon in some way. Main villain(s) are guys with blackish masks There  read more

i feel like the connection between the two is pretty obvious, guy meets girl, said girl also happens to not be a normal girl and the reason why has something to do with water and also they fall in love because of course they do i'd recommend Bubble if you're in a mood for action but if you're in a mood for something more relaxing then i'd recommend Ponyo, just expect to see alot of water in both

They both have a take on The Little Mermaid's story, but Josee, Tiger, and fish did it much better and you will definitely enjoy it and it doesn't revolve around that, it's just a part. Eve also performed a song in both movies. Bubble gave me a bad story trauma lmao, I watched this afterward and was relieved of my trauma LOLL. It's a good story I assure you. pls watch it, u will not regret.

Both take place in an isolated alternative dystopian version of Tokyo with survival minded games and characters with over the to top athletic skills. Both movies even have a character called Usagi...

Young people embracing loss, finding meaning in life, learning to enjoy the small everyday joys and bittersweet love. The visuals are beautiful and bot stories are filled with emotions, laughter, sadness, loss and gratefulness.

Both have: - Pretty much the same plot. - One is more "2022" fantasy while the other is earlier "2000" fantasy.

"Belle" and "Bubble" take traditional fairy tales (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid) and make a wild contemporary spin on both the stories and characters. However, neither movie has well-developed writing, with most of their focus being their visuals. Both movies have really beautiful fantasy environments — one virtual, and one post-apocalyptic. With both female leads being singers, the movies make use of a lot of diegetic music and excel when the animation is in sync with the songs.

I totally enjoyed watching both of them. Both have a unique art style and the word bubble in the English name, which i find quiet funny. That's why i watched them after another. If you want to experience a exciting story with a small overload of cuteness, I totally recommend this.
