If you're looking for a good Chinese anime, you must give Zhen Hun Jie (Rakshasa Street) a try. Although the quality of the animation of rakshasa street is not comparable to Quan Zhi Gao Shou, it made up for it with its interesting plot and characters. The way the anime was directed is also interesting in the sense that two different timelines are being explored at once (instead of the typical flashback used in Japanese anime) and tie-in together nicely towards the end which made some of the revelations very satisfying. For example, the first episode is about the current timeline then second episode switches  read more

Both have supernatural elements, a good mix of action and mystery, unpredictable and powerful plot twists. Sibling love plays a big role in both stories and can be very touching.

Both have supernatural fighting with summoned warriors, heart-wrenching drama and a coming-of-age theme. Both are going back and forth between two timelines.

They both happen in a world where humans with supernatural abilities remain hidden within the normal society while forming a jianghu of their own. They both feature powers rooted in traditional Chinese literature and religions. One MC has a haunting past. The other is a newbie in the supernatural world.

MCs are siblings who are given the job of maintaining balance between the worlds of the living and the dead. Both are a mix of action and drama. Both spend a fair amount of time delving into the MC's backstories.

a supernatural short anime series both with good visuals, amazing soundtracks and good story lines. Getting used to Chinese will be tough but both are totally worth it.

The format of this donghua are similar, both shows bits of the past at the beginning of each episode. And then the final reveal at the end of the last chapter. Zhen Dao Ge has a more simpler and straightforward plot however the action more than makes up for the entertainment. Zhen Hun Jie has supernatural fights, Zhen Dao Ge is pure martial arts fighting.

+ Fighting with supernatural creatures (in Kekkaishi - demons, in Rakshasa Street - evil spirits). + Young heroes (in Kekkaishi - people from "kekkaishi" line with supernatural abilities, in Rakshasa Street - spirit hosts with ancient companions). + Some special bond between two main leads (in both friendship between a boy and a girl, but they both don't admit it).

They both are great Chinese Anime: - same genre: Action, Supernatural, Comedy and Drama - both stories are entertaining, exciting and quite unpredictable - similar characters: both male protagonists are strong and use miraculous power, female characters are similar too Huyao Xiao Hongniang is more focused on comedy (especially season 1). If you like one of them you probably will not be disappointed of the other show.

Zhen Hun Jie and Soul Buster contain people fighing for peace and justice using historical figures, ghosts, and ancient beings. They both have an interesting art style, not to mention plenty of action.
