Both involve alternate worlds, and saving the world, place. (Lady Jewelpet is a bit childish however I did enjoy it.)

Both this series are from Sanrio and both of them are magical girls series with lots of love triangles based around the main character. They are cute, funny and care free! Also they share the same ‘cute mascots doing cute and magical things’ pattern!

Magical girl anime that is colorful, vibrant, and appropriate for young people. Both of the main characters are considered clumsy, gluttonous, and wear pink. The main characters' friends are a polite brown-haired girl and a tomboy who wears blue. Both shows have cute mascots/pets.

Romance, friendship, magic and a touch of comedy are a few of the themes these two series share. The journey of a young girl coming of age and becoming a young lady is told wonderfully in both. Set in a fantasy world with the premise of attending an academy of sorts to train and compete to be the ruler of their respective worlds. Portraying their adventures and growth alongside the friends they make along the way, while trying to unravel the mysteries around them. The way the main heroine and cast is portrayed in both series is strikingly similar. If you're a fan of one  read more

Both have competing magical girls who are close friends, and both have stories that start off quite relaxed but eventually become heavier and more intense as they near their ends.

If you enjoy cute anime (for younger audiences) with colorful artwork and lots of magic, then you should like both of these. Both feature a girl trying to become a Lady/Princess with a magical sidekick to help her, a "prince" that she falls in love with and a magical kingdom.
