The character designs in these two anime look extremely similar. Both main characters have the same feeling and end up obtaining an amazing power. Both are mecha anime, and both kind of have that east/west alternate reality world-building theme.

History is recreated in the far future combining both western and eastern periods of war with lots of different historical figures from different time periods Differences: Nobunaga the Fool is more action and less comedy with ecchi than Horizon and also doesn't have strange speaking patterns

Both anime deal with two different worlds where a girl with magic powers comes from one world to the other in order to help a guy. Both anime deal with a great war and leaving the heroes to save everyone/the world. There are samurai, mechs, tarot cards, and space/dimension travel also in both anime. When I saw Nobunaga for the first time, I automatically thought "This is like a modern Escaflowne with historic characters." If you liked one, you should like the other. They have the same feeling.

These two anime are based on the Sengoku Era and deal with Oda Nobunaga—but with a twist. Famous historical figures appear in both anime series. Nobunaga the Fool features Jeanne De Arc, DaVinci, Magellan, King Arthur, and many more to come. Nobunagun though has Ghandi, Newton, and many more to come too. Both series are airing this year (Winter 2014).

Main character is voiced by Miyano Mamoru (in the same timbre as well) - also the main characters of both shows are very crazy, spontaneous and have a "badass" vibe to them. Both shows in general pull lots of twists and have very unnatural situations. A supernatural aspect lies in both. Both main characters' love interests are blonde (and are full of fanservice).

Both are set to Sengoku period following Oda Nobuna. Oda Nobuna no Yabou is a little more light-hearted in terms of characters, but is still serious about the action. All the generals and warriors are cute girls.

If you enjoy watching characters that are based on historical figures then you might like to watch both, also, yeah... there's a coffee in the Holy Grail. NTF is pretty much like F/Z just with mechas. It also had some predictable flat plot flag lines in the series.

Both have mechs and a kind of east and west theme going. One of the main differences is the time while code geass takes place in an futuristic setting Nobunaga is an alternate past setting

Samurai + mecha + badass main character Kuromukuro has a better plot with better characters. The story is less convoluted as well but both are a decent watch if you're craving more of the same

These two anime are very close in how the story progress. Both also take you to the no hope line where it looks like nothing good will happen. they always find creative ways of using historical context in it.

Just like the protagonist of Air Gear, Nobunaga is also larger than life. These two characters reach for the heavens even if other people call them a fool or an idiot. They keep trying to fly and reach their dreams. (Side note: It's funny how Air Gear and Nobunaga the Fool both have Regalia as well.)

-Both anime involve mechas. -Kamina has a lot of similarities with Nobunaga as both of them are hot-blooded protagonists that will do anything to achieve their purpose.

The mecha used in both Anime are similar in art but different on the system. In this case, Aquarion Evol requires 3 pilots to combine into one mecha while Nobunaga the Fool only require one pilot. Both have 2 planets with different culture/civilization.

The main character of both anime is Oda Nobunaga, and the voices of characters is Miyano Mamoru. Other common seiyuus: Nakamura Yuuichi,Kaji Yuki, Koyama Rikiya, Sakurai Takahiro Difference from NobuCon: Alternative world, and there are many character from european history, for example DaVinci, Jeanne d'Arc, Caesar.

Both are (mis)using historical figures of the Sengoku era, mixing them with Western figures (just a bit for Brave 10 with Anastasia, more with Nobunaga the Fool). The characters, both male and female, are attractive in the same way.

They are both mecha anime that took place in ancient history. The protagonists in both anime believe they are the greatest men in the world.

Both have the same epic battle where it was set in some alternate dimension. The theme of one anime has a bit of historical twist in it, while the other one has more of a historical metaphor.
