obscure old series about a rock band who tries to pave their way to the big stage with brighter stars standing between them and their dream. both take more of a realistic approach to depicting music business than your average idol shows. 

Both have a very artsy teen movie feel to it, were made and set in the everydays of the 80's and are also just as bewildering to watch 

Both have very unique animation styles, an unusual tone, and an unmistakably 80s aesthetic.
