Very similar situations and character personality, must watch if you have seen one of them. You might feel the blond guy in Kyou Kara Ore Wa!! are cheating but after the first EP and half of the second EP you will change your mind.

Both are 90s short OVA series that are adaptations of well known mangas about high school boy delinquents being dumb and badass.

Both are action-based classics that detail the lives of badass characters and their own ways of dealing with crime.

These two shows definitely have their differences, but they also have their similarities. Both shows are short 90s OVAs and both are centered around high schoolers beating up tough guys. They also both have their fair share of silly moments as well as very serious, sometimes very tense, moments. I recommend checking out at least an episode of each and if you like them, check out the manga as well.

both are fun to watch, has fights lots of them with simple and effective plotlines.

Two guys out for trouble as delinquents in both series, both looking for love and around crazy gangs.

Both anime have similar art and humor. They also have perverted characters who'd do anything to get laid. There are quite a few action scenes in both anime, and they are fairly realistic.

Both anime are detailing the lives of young lives with ambitious dreams that require great amount of skill, experience and dedication. Though Takumi might not be living as troubling a life as Eikichi and Ryuji of Shonan Junai Gumi! his dreams and passion are just as ambitious and inspiring as theirs.

Sex crazed youths trying to find their next ambition. The '90s sure was a single-minded time.

Two teenagers going after fights to improve their skills and trying (with little success) to get girls on the way. That's the core of the two animes, but SJG duo have more style and funny lines.

If you enjoyed YYH for the awesome fights and Kuwabara and Yuusuke being dumb yet charismatic thugs, and if you don't mind a fair bit of crass humor, then you will probably like Shonan Junai Gumi. SJG is a prequel to Great Teacher Onizuka and covers the main character Onizuka's days as part of the delinquent duo Onibaku. It's got great humor and some badass fights, and shows Onizuka and Ryuuji both kicking ass and getting their ass kicked.

Young GTO (Shonan Junai Gumi) is very similar to Get Backers in that they both feature a duo. In Shonan Junai Gumi , Eikichi Onizuka and Danma Ryuji(Onibaku) both try to find girlfriends and become the strongest gang in Shonan. In Getbackers ,Ginji Amano and Ban Mido try and make a living in becoming retrievers, by helping people "get back" what they've lost. Both animes feature a group of two characters who fight alongside each other against tough opponents and have hilarious moments together. Hope you enjoy them! =) GBbaku - geddit? :P

This series, which is about GTOs early years, is similar to Midori no Hibi in several ways, even though Shonan Junai Gumi has more fighing. Both series features a protagonist who's feared and admired at school for his fighting skills and is desperately trying to find a girlfriend.

Both series consist of delinquents who like to pick up fights around the town
