Both are remakes of the '70s robot genre series. Both are "white knights" but not similar in storyline or character relations. Both are enjoyable old-school anime—the way it's not done anymore, sadly.

Both anime are 1990's OVA reboots of classic Tatsuonoko Production anime from the 1970's. Both OVA's give these two classic anime superheroes from the 1970's a more modern and darker feel for the 1990's audience. Both anime are set in the near future with a powerful evil leader that is threatening to take over the planet and it's up to a superhero with a white spandex uniform and helmet to save the day. Both are action-packed anime and are very entertaining to watch. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.
