If you're looking for an adventure movie about dogs in beautiful settings, both of these movies are for you! Call of The Wild is a bit more realistic and violent than The Tibetan Dog, but both have a strong and loyal dog as a protagonist.

Both movies has a boy and his dog (or in the case of White Fang, a wolf) as main hero and are very similar, except White Fang has no supernatural elements. You will definitely like both of them.

Even though The Tibetan Dog is significantly lighter and more family-friendly than GNG, they share similar elements: the friendship between a boy and his dog, the dog pack and the monster who kills people. However, this is more human-centric, which some may find boring, while in GNG, dogs get a bigger role in its second half. I still recommend both if you like the stories about dogs.

Both stories revolve around a young boy in Tibet as he grows to love a natural Tibetian animal which allows him to grow into a man (metaphorically). While the lad in Inu Monogatari doesn't love his home initially, he grows to appreciate the simple way of life there as the dog teaches him courage. In Tenguri, the lad loves his home but doesn't love the simple way of life which would cost him the life of his dear yak. Luckily, the yak teaches him a very valuable skill that will forever shape the Tibetian people. If you want a heart-warming series about the simple way  read more

Both are about a bond between animals/beasts and humans (KnSE shows more of it). Both children lose one parent.

Both movies talk about a wild animal that been raised by humans, the hero in Tibet Inu Monogatari is Douji; a dog with golden hair ,and in Daisetsusan no Yuusha Kibaou is Fang; a brown wolf. Both of those animals' human families had been killed by a giant monster. The way both of Douji, Fang, and their friends from the same tribe fought the evil creature is almost alike. beside both movies show how dogs are loyal to their owners.

A children's anime animal movie. Though not the same species , both movies have animals who are trying to work together with humans. They share adventure and drama and action.
