Relationship between a human boy and non-human girl, involving one of them turning into a fish. Both movies have amazing visuals.

If they are not similar in love story, they are similar in the deep, noble feelings of the characters. Superb animation and music.

A couple of movies whose animation goes according to its message. It will make you go ''WOAH, What did I just see''. A touch in the soul and a forevermore kiss. You will not forget them ever.

They are deeply emotional love stories between humans and beings from other realms. Main characters posses supernatural powers. They have fantastic world building rooted in Chinese literature and folklore. Huyao Xiao Hongniang has more comedy. Da Yu Hai Tang is more melodramatic.

They are both inspired by Chinese literature and folklore. They both happen in a fantasy world with rich Chinese cultural influence. They both deal with a character's redemption and self realization through rescuing another. Da Yu Hai Tang is more oriented toward young adult. Monkey King: Hero is Back is more family friendly.

They both happen in a world where supernatural beings and humans coexist. One of the MC turns into animal form after some incidents and enters another realm. They share the theme of human's relationship with nature. Da Yu Hai Tang is more melodramatic. Luo Xiao Hei Zhan Ji is more lighthearted.

• Both the anime have similar kind of setting and scenario. • Both showcase relationship between human of two different world. • Both have lots of wholesome and bittersweet movements.

Both movies feature a spiritual realm in juxtaposition with a human world, and a male character being raised by a denizen of this realm in a parental fashion (under a different context, of course). They are both beautiful and pleasant movies, and at times certain details and animation sequences of Da Yu reminded me of Bakemono no Ko.

Colorful and imaginative movies of chinese origin. If you're looking for where to start with trying chinese anime, try those two.

They share Chinese setting and world of myth but one of them is actually a Chinese movie. A transcendent love story.

The main character tries their hardest to save a person but for different reasons in each anime.

Both have a very similar feeling, although Da You Tang is a chinese anime. Both deal about the integration between humans or something similar to humans with nature and its balance.

A fantasy world in which people have special powers with assigned tasks.

a supernatural short anime series both with good visuals, amazing soundtracks and good story lines. Getting used to Chinese will be tough but both are totally worth it.
