Da Yu Hai Tang (Movie)

I think that the colours and art form is very similar, both stories are very enjoyable and take you on an adventure. I recommend them both tbh. 

- They both explore this "spirit world" - Both gorgeously animated - Both have this "mystical" or "magical" atmosphere - Both have a female child lead whom faces a coming of age character development 

This is similar with Spirited Away because of the atmosphere, the world, the magic, they're very similar. I recommend watching this if you love Spirited Away. 

A girl goes to another world. There are magical and supernatural elements. 

• Both the anime takes lots of inspection from Japanese/Chinese tradition and folk tale. • Both gives same kind of aesthetic vibe , the smooth animation and beautiful sounds track really gives comfort to eyes and ears. • Both the anime have a fantastic world setting which is very different from today's modern fantastic anime, The environment feel more like a dream land and give a nostalgic feeling. 

Both have mythical creatures, cute fantasy story involving water and sea 

stunning worldbuilding and animation, supernatural sea-fish-human relationships 

Both of them had intense love. The emotions are so deep... This is the movie I love most after Kimi no Na wa. I think this movie should be given a chance. 

Both of the anime focuses on saving someone who is precious to you....someone whom you don't really know much about. Both of the journey is unique and unusual and both protagonists try their best to accomplish their goal by any means necessary. Both anime has great animations. Though both of them radiates same vibes, Big fish and begonia takes place in a beautiful fantasy world parallel to human world. This is definitely worth a shot imo. 

Both films are very beautiful films and have relatively traditional setups and become more complicated and confusing as the story progresses. Both take deep influence from traditional Chinese/Japanese religion and mythology.
