First of all, Shinei and Levi(from Shingeki No Kyojin) are both very similar characters who are really good on the battlefield and both have also lost many of their close comrades in battle
The story of the Eighty-Six is based on a group of people who fight outside an enclosed area.I can also relate the legion to titans where the 86 are meant to stop them from reaching the enclosed area and the same with titans as the survey corps are meant to stop them from reaching the enclosed area
