They're both action,school with some romance. There are some magic in both,though,in Highschool DxD more. If you liked Highschool DxD I think you will like Hidan no Aria,too !
In short,in both animes is a highschool boy that one day met a girl and his all life changed because of her.
Cute girls! 'Nuff said.
There's a similar romance to it, as well as girls with special powers.
The protagonist is surrounded by beautiful girls, and there's good humor.
However, one should note that there's much more nudity in Highschool DxD so if that's what you prefer, go for it! - if not, well... too bad.
