I watched the first ep and it seems a little bit boring. Does it get better or should I just drop it?

I think you should atleast watch 3 episodes and drop it if you didn't like it because nothing really changes because of it's episodic nature.

Its episodic anime with relaxing themes and OSTs.

If you don't like it, than drop it.
But atleast try 4-5 episodes before doing so.

Episode 12 One Eyed Fish is the only somewhat different episode because it actually provided an insight into the main character. Otherwise, the rest all contain the same formula milked till it can reach it's 22 episode length. Drop it

It's not for everyone. It has a slow stoic solemn feel to it. It's not something that's written or is easy to binge watch. I recommend watching an episode or two, feeling it out, and watching it only when the mood strikes.

Mushishi just isn’t for you if you feel that way. Its episodic and doesn’t have any real action. I feel the best way to experience the show is watching 3-4 episodes each week and not to binge it. So I mean give it maybe a couple more episodes but it may just not be for you. Have a good day/afternoon/evening/night!

Watch at least 1 to 3 episodes before deciding to drop it. But if I gotta be real, nothing really changes and it doesn't really have any real action.

atleast watch 3-4 episode then you can judge whether to watch it or not...it will make you feel all types of emotions..some time happy,some time sad and you will get good inspiration from it.

It gets better because you get used to the characters and I personally wanted to see more of Ginko's travelling. I wasn't really entertained in the beginning either, but then I really wanted to get to know him better and was sad when I finished everything.

The first four episodes of either season give a very good sense of the types of stories that are told. So I’d wait till then to drop it. Personally wasn’t that impressed by episode 1 of either season either, but it’s my favourite show.

I watched 4 and I loooove slow iyashikei type animes but I'm not feeling this. I switched to monoke instead. Every episode just felt too parasitey formulaic

If you saw one episode and you did not liked it, drop the anime. It is a rule I always follow. Time is precious so it is better to spend it watching what you truly like.

I'd say the middle / later parts of s1 is generally a bit better but if you don't like it at all then don't bother.

Mushishi is not at all similar to any of the anime you seem to like based on your list.

This anime is mostly a: This world is very scary and messed up things in it. I wouldn't say it's a horror or thriller, but it kind of sticks it's toes in there. it's interesting, but that's not going to enough for some people. it was kind of like an anime black mirror .
