Who would think that you could get a serious Anime from either story lines, but somehow the people who came up with the idea for both made it work. There is humor built into the story line too and it is very enjoyable despite the corniness.

Both these Anime feature girls kicking butt despite the odd situations they find them in. Both Anime push the boundary of "willing suspense of disbelief" and yet the viewer still finds themselves believing what is going on could possibly happen in another reality.

Keijo and Ben-to both drew me in to their crazy, nonsensical and over-the-top narratives by being crazy, nonsensical and over-the-top. Both of them take pride in how silly they are by taking their entirely non-serious plots 100% seriously. They're overly dramatic (in a good way), humorous and entertaining, full of thrilling action scenes and to top it all off, both animes have a healthy level of busts and butts to really get your blood pumping.

Food is *extremely* serious business, as these squadrons of busty beauties will be very eager to tell you. Fun fanservice shows where people wage wars over their cuisine. (literally and figuratively)

Both anime share a pointless plot at first glance, but as you continue watching each episode, they consist of a good variety of action and comedy in a unique way that many other anime hasn't really portrayed in a while with a refreshing concept on the comedic moments that will make you die of laughter.

The action in both Anime are packed in big time and the characters is very athletic. The fighting isn't exactly realistic, but it is nice action to watch. The characters also develop their own special powers and even girls get into the action.

Both are about a guy who is forced to join a ridiculous club with weird people, and because of this they get dragged into fights about something stupid (d-frag-which is the real game Club and ben-to-who gets the bento that are on sale). They are both very funny and if you like one you will like the other.

Both protagonists are semi-perverse characters who through certain circumstances obtain fighting skills and are suddenly surrounded by attractive women. They have very similar humor styles, and do have action in it but really doesn't rely on the action portion as much as the comedy. Both have a quite a bit of fan service.

-Both anime are full of action, comedy, epic fights, and hilarious characters. -Both anime try to make a dramatic plot from something really absurd, and it turns out really good and interesting. -Both anime try to make parody from another anime by abusing in the use of drama into something nonsense

Both are crazy, nonsensical and over-the-top comedy that has ridiculousness built into it. While Grand Blue has a premise of college life, drinks, diving and everything in it. Ben-To has convinience stores as a premise.

Enjoy ridiculous fight scenes and off the wall combat moves then this anime is right for you. Both of these series will make you laugh out loud, the comedy is wacky but there is an underlying love story between the two main characters. The supporting cast of the both series are extremely funny, if not too well developed. Fun times will be had by all.

They both female MCs that are capable fighters. Both shows make use of a similar blend of action, slice of life and comedy. Although Etotama makes fun of anime and its community in general and Ben-to bases its comedy on the ridiculousness of supermarket situations that involve buying food.

Both are crazy, nonsensical and over-the-top comedy that has ridiculousness built into it. Although Fugou Keiji is more serious and has less echi, I recommend you give the show a try

They're both different. But they do have the same plots. Well, the original Toradora was not about bentos, but this OVA was. They're both about Bentos. Both was about competition about bentos. Both has a hint of romance.

maji de watashi reminds me of Ben-to, different plot but, the same style. Students enjoying fighting for something. Strong and awesome girls too. If you like those things, go watch it :D

Comedy is similar in the sense that they draw humor for the absurdity of the characters in everyday situations/settings. With Ben-To its grocery store brawls, and in Sabage-bu it's airsoft survival games. The former is slightly more serious and plot driven but both are equally funny.

I was not a fan of Dagashi, but they do have some similarities between them. Dagashi Kashi relies on fan service a bit more than Ben-To, in my opinion, and Ben-To succeeds more as an interesting show because it does not suffer the pacing issues Dagashi has for me. They both deal with people caring far too much about common food to the point of obsession, and being carried too far because of these obsessions though, so perhaps some people out there could love them both for what they offer!

Both the anime revolve around strong female character and weak male protagonist and have great comedy and fanservice And the most important thing is that unlike other ecchi anime this two anime have a nice plot and put equal focus to story, fanservice and comedy

Ben-to is about people fighting for food, and each one trying to become the best. Assassination classroom is about students tryng to kill their teacher to earn a load of money from the government. Both have action, comedy and surrealism. However, Assassination Classroom has more emotional impact, as well as life lessons.

in "Amaama to inazuma" mian characters enjoys how to make delicious food, in "Ben-to" they're having fun fighting for delicious meal. so add it on to watch list now! enjoy!

Both anime has an Absurd element. In dog days, the 'war' in the story is less than you expect with the hero defeating enemies while learning the rules of the battlefield. In ben-to, the premise is fighting for half-priced bento and taking it seriously. This is a good anime, so don't judge an anime by it's premise.

In "Ben-to" main characters fight to get the food, in "Nourin" they do farming to produce the food :D so open your viewing devices and watch it now :D enjoy!

How can a medieval anime be similar to a modern fighting anime ? Well because they tend to be a little bit harem style, both main male characters have to increase their power/fighting skills to get to their goal. The fighting scenes are simply AMAZING! In Dungeon, the main character has to face his fear to kill his ennemy before he faces a bigger danger and in Ben-to, the main character have to fight against more powerful opponent each time. In the medieval theme of Dungeon, they uses weapon and magic and in Ben-to, they use their bare hands and legs to kick some ass.  read more

Both of the main characters from each show are introduced into a underground fight club of sorts. Very good for a laugh and an easy going show to enjoy.

There is only a male character usually surrouned by hot girls This Anime also has a harem Anime contains Romance Both animes girl gradually starts to like male lead

Both are about fighting, glory, and pride the main character, started of weak, then progressed to be stronger and stronger. the shows arent perverted but they do have some situations... the mains also had a situation where they could choose the easy way or the noble way and obvious chose noble, like most fighting shows

-Fighting that has to do with food, directly or indirectly. -Comedy in a way similar to, but with no Muteki Kanban Musume ecchi in.

Similarities: Both have ridiculously corny storyline. Both were pretty much has a level of predictability. Both share the same action, school and harem genres. Both main characters all lived in a dormitory. Dissimilarities: One has Martial arts as it's extra genre, while the other has ecchi and mech ( mentioned only in other anime sites) as its extra genre. The muchacho (male lead) in KK7 is always the damsel in distress, while the muchacho (male lead) in Bento is a combination of being a wimp, asshole, nice guy and rabid dog (when he's going for-you know what) all rolled into one. Even if Bento has some ecchi in it, it is  read more

Serious business, proud nicknames, fights of sexy schoolgirls - what else do you need? Ben-to is a cute parody of Ikkitousen. It isn't so brutal but it's really fun.

In both these anime's there is a great deal of fighting and action, Highschool of the Dead however is more focused on an Apocalyptic attitude and zombies. When Ben-to is truly brawling over half priced boxed lunch. I also thought the animation and drawing style was similar.

SKET Dance is similar to Ben-To in the use of bright colours throughout scenes and characters who are defined by their actions Clean positive fun, with a different outlook on the highschool scene, dealing with other peoples problems because your own are not enough!! Great show if a little slow/sit around the clubroom and talk for a whole ep... still on going overall 7.5/10

They both have fighting to get to their goals. Ben-To - to get to boxed lunches, Durarara! - to get Celty her head AND some people find out who Celty is.

Both MC's get dragged into fighting not knowing about there hidden potential and power Both stories have multiple character relations through out the narrative Both MC's get stronger after every battle The two series have Comedy, Ecchi, and Action elements
report Recommended by Obeythealfa
They've got the same silly adventurous vibe. They both have likeable (kinda cliche, but not in annoying way) characters and a good sense of humor, which is not solely based on fanservice. And cool action scenes, which you kinda don't initially expect in both of the series.
report Recommended by Sicilian
Well there is two things in common here. The first one is of course the food, in Ben-To is the Bento while in Tetsuko no Tabi is Ekiben. The second thing is the comedy in them.

Both contains a stupid amount of things that makes absolutely no sense but somehow are funny as hell... although it's a short series, you can go read the manga if you liked it.

Both anime have "food wars". In ben-to, people fight to get the food, in shokugeki no souma, people fight making the food, in the end, you'll be starving!
