'Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita' Unveils Additional Cast, First Promo

The official website of the television anime adaptation of Sarasa Nagase's Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita (I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss) light novel revealed on Thursday additional cast, a key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video. The anime series will premiere in October 2022 on Tokyo MX, MBS, BS-TBS, and WOWOW.

Kumiko Habara (100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru) is helming the anime at Maho Film. Kenta Ihara (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Momoko Makiuchi (Ginban Kaleidoscope), Eri Kojima (Leadale no Daichi nite), and Yuuko Ooba (Uchi no Ko no Tame Naraba prop design) are the character designers.

Natsumi Tabuchi (5-toubun no Hanayome), Hanae Nakamura (Clockwork Planet), Miki Sakurai (Machikado Mazoku), Sayaka Aoki (Kanojo mo Kanojo), and Kanade Sakuma (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta…) are composing the music.

Nagase started writing the comedy fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2017. In September of the same year, Kadokawa began printing the series under its Beans Bunko imprint with illustrations by Mai Murasaki and shipped the ninth volume on October 1.

Anko Yuzu serialized a manga adaptation in Monthly Comp Ace from June 2018 to August 2019. Kadokawa released the third and final volume in December 2019.

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and the manga in English last year. The light novel's third volume was released on June 21, with the fourth volume scheduled to ship on October 18. The third and final volume of the manga shipped on March 1.
