Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, there to protect the Day Class from the Academy's dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires.
Yuki Cross
Yuki Kuran, is the adoptive daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, and is a member of the school's disciplinary committee. The Kuran family was attacked by Rido Kuran, so Yuki's mother Juuri, wanting Yuki to live as a normal human, sealed Yuki's memories, powers and pureblood with the cost of her own life, and Headmaster Cross took her in. She has lost all memory of her life before the attack, but since Kaname rescued her when she was attacked by a vampire, she has been harboring deep feelings for him. She loves Kaname since she was small till now. She has let Zero, a childhood friend, drink her blood, hoping to save him from insanity. She cares deeply about Zero, and has strongs feelings for him. She thinks Zero as her little brother. It was revealed in chapter 35 that she is the daughter of the Kuran family, which is primarily pureblood-vampires. She and Kaname are engaged;(even though he is actually her ancestor). She does have vampire powers as well, this was witnessed in chapter 36 when she was getting over the shock of her parents deaths to save her she accidentaly made large cracks in the wall.
Her weapon is the "Artemis Rod," an extendable staff she received from Headmaster Cross.
Zero Kiryuu
Yuki's childhood friend. Zero is a Cross Academy Guardian. Yuki has cared about him as a close friend ever since he was brought into their home. His family, one of vampire hunters, was murdered by the pureblood vampire Shizuka when he was young. In truth, Zero was bitten during the attack on his family and therefore turned into a vampire, something that has been kept secret even from Yuki until his vampiric urges began to surface and became uncontrollable. As Zero's body rejects the blood tablets that most vampires take to control their hunger, Yuki began letting him drink her own blood, which helps his thirst for blood, but he is ultimately to become a Level E vampire. In chapter 35, he discovers Yuki is a vampire, and in chapter 37 he aims his gun at her, which leads to Yuki telling him her vampire side "ate" her other side.
Zero's weapon is the gun "Bloody Rose". He made Yuki promise that if he becomes a Level E vampire, she will kill him with the "Bloody Rose".
Kaname Kuran
Kaname is the class president of the Night Class, both feared and respected by the other Night Class students.
While he is cold and authoritative towards his contemporaries in the Night Class, he is always kind and sweet to Yuki. He has shown that he cares deeply for Yuki ever since he saved her, and loves her in a romantic sense. Kaname also asked Yuki to become a vampire and live with him for all eternity by his side, but manages to stop himself from biting her. He is both jealous and angry with Zero for biting Yuki and endangering her life.
He also seems to know the pureblood who bit Zero, Shizuka, and kill her before drinking her blood to protect Yuki, in spite of it being a terrible taboo. Kaname was the ancestor of Kuran and was resurrected by Rido from the grave, thus making him unable to kill Rido. Plus he even let Zero drink his blood so Zero can live for much longer to protect Yuuki.

Yuuki holding Artemis. Shiki and Takuma talk with Shiki holding Takuma hand so he won't leave. Yori and Yuuki meet. And someone from the Hunters Association killed a vampire, and a vampire killed a Hunter or the human killed himself. The human also had bitemarks on his neck (not sure if he killed himself but the pics look like it)
Volume 11 comes out December 4. It covers up to Chapter 53 apparently. Next chapter out in November.
