I like stories about kids sometimes, and it's cool that these kids actually act THEIR AGE. And it's got a nice, childish little romance in it that I liked. :) And who doesn't love loveable rouges like Dark? But I don't like the way these kids call each other "Mr & Ms", they should've just left in all the '-san, -chan, -kun, etc.' because it sounds so stupid in English. Also, they made some bad choices for voice actors. But the story itself is pretty good. It's cute.

I've been waiting for two weeks now for another one but I should've just come here and realized sooner. I don't believe this. Now I have to go find the manga. I have to know what happens! I can't believe OneManga is gone at the crucial time! ^^" My bookstores around here DO NOT stock this manga. I've already checked. I'll look around some more for a place to buy it. But I'm doubting that I'll find it.

Hunter x Hunter
The manga is a masterpiece, read it first. The anime is poorly adapted. However, once you get past the first episode (suckiest adaptation EVER EVER EVER) it picks up.
The characters are extremely likeable. Gon, the main character, in particular. He's a determined & stubborn, a go-getter, childish, and straightforward. He's also a really good fighter but he never becomes overpowered. Along with the rest of the cast, he CONSISTENTLY faces challenges and opponents that are MUCH stronger than him. He improves incredibly fast for a normal person, but so far he's still way behind a lot of the characters. And that's REALLY awesome. The plot is really interesting, as is the world it's set in. Watch this one, you'll like it! (after the first episode xD) |

Naruto
I really love the beginning of Naruto (it gets some what lame as the series goes on). This is a really popular series though and I think that has a lot to do with how much fun the world seems and how entertaining some of the characters are. You'll probably like it too for those reasons, although some of the characters are a little... eh. A lot of the girl characters start off lame and get better though (props for that). I don't know... the fanfiction for this series is better than the canon stuff xD

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan
Not the greatest show out there, but worth watching. I like the thought of a warrior whose decided never to kill again and sticks to the goal but still fights (like awesome :D) and makes good friends. I also like that he's a little weird--messed up from everything he's been through, that's cool. Kaoru is irritating though, she's not a strong female lead at all. Still, I would've liked more romance from this show. Oh well. Watch it, it's good. :)

This is a good show! I like how it incorporates some modern/urban things (like rapping and graffiti!!!) in a semi-realistic way. The beginning episode is AWESOME. It's just so cool how it's made. The story and the characters are pretty good too. But there's not a whole lot of bonding or anything, which I would've liked to have. The characters are all so detached. But it's a good show, pretty well-made.

This was great! It helps that the physical humor at the end of the movie cracked me up. After laughing like that I have a good opinion of the movie for sure. lol. Anyway. This was great. I really found myself enjoying the big battle and all. I found myself thinking, "Ah! This is so cool! I wish Oz existed!" even though obviously this is about Oz going all wrong. I've missed episodes here and there but it's a really good show from what I've seen. There's fanservice in it (Yoko is all for that) and that's not my thing, but it's not crazy-in-your-face fanservice so it's not too bad.
You can read the summary of it for yourself. It's mecha, and it's good. And a LIKEABLE, MAIN character DIES. PERMANENTLY. So it gets points for that. There's some ridiculous things in this show that I think are MEANT to be ridiculous (like how it screws physics all the time) so it's cool. xD I don't know, it's a good show. You should watch it! |

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
I loved this show as a kid. I had a sailor moon party before I even really knew what this show was. But I've watched pieces of this again as a teenager and it seems kind of weird... and nonsensical. And not in a good way. I have such a nostalgic place in my heart for it though, that I'm hoping I'll still enjoy re-watching it.
Edit: So now I'm re-watching! The dubs this time! Due to my soft spot for the dubs I've enjoyed the first episodes a lot more this time! |

This isn't the best written manga out there and so some of the anime is lame. But I love the characters in this show, and the anime has had me laughing several times! I EVEN like the FILLERS! Go figure!!! My enthusiasm over this show has waned over time but it's an anime that's definitely worth watching at least once just so you know what all the hype is about ;)

I loved Inuyasha when I first got into it. I was literally OBSESSED. And what have they done to Mojo?! I'm still interested in what other changes might have been made but I think the first episode was really stupid and bad. Sorry xD

I think this anime is meant to be a comedy. There were a lot of scenes where I felt like I was SUPPOSED to laugh, and a few times I actually did, but most of the time this show was just not that funny. And it's like, I do GET the jokes, they just don't amuse me. This show wasn't really a /waste/ of time but I have more enjoyable things to watch.

That sort of makes sense. And on its own I'd be okay with that story line. But it's not okay that the first story is unfinished!!!!

Meh. It's pretty good. I liked it a lot more as a kid; now I'm thinking it's not so well made. It was one of the first mecha shows I ever watched though and I remember parts of it from my childhood, so it's still kinda good to me. :)
