This was an excellent series. Not in my normal thread of anime but I was pleased to have found this one. Character development is well done. Underlying themes can be found within its characters, supporting characters and story. The resident technologies in this series are cool enough to let this one take root.
This saga has roots in Real Life as this anime is related to Japan's own Guinness World Record holder of "World's Largest Pop Group" After watching the entire series I began to research ABK48 and to my surprise, elements contained within the AKB0048 series are synonymous with philosophies and practices maintained by the real life AKB48. Though not a current fan, yet, I will certainly have to give them a listen sometime.
