One of the greatest wastes of potential in anime. I'd give it a three but I believe the damage it has done to popular perception of "quality" warrants a 1. Decent prodruction and budget stifled by bad storytelling, one-dimensional characters and a hero arc that goes from "I played the first level of this game so I know all the secrets on this one floor." to "Well this floor is as new to me as everyone else but because 12 year old boys want a power fantasy I'm ridiculously strong now because reasons." in the span of about 4 episodes. Escapism and power fantasy isn't enough to make something worth watching, especially when you make your protagonist a cardboard cut-out with no substance.
