Cast, Production Staff for 'Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita.' Announced

The official website of the previously announced Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei shitemita. (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It) television anime revealed the cast, production staff members, and a key visual (pictured) on Wednesday. The anime adaptation of Alfred Yamamoto's romantic comedy manga, also known by its short name RikeKoi, will air in 2020.

Kaoru Ootsuka, hisakuni, and Takuma Sogi are reuniting as music composers from their previous work Shichisei no Subaru. Shouichirou Hirata (ClassicaLoid theme song composition), Shuuhei Takahashi (Miss Monochrome: The Animation insert song composition), and Yuuko Takahashi are also credited for music.

Yamamoto originally launched the manga as a one-shot in Comic Meteor web magazine in March 2016, which began regular serialization in May of the same year. Flex Comix will publish the sixth volume on July 11. RikeKoi has a cumulative 750,000 copies of its compiled volumes in print.

The manga inspired a four-episode live-action drama series in September 2018. A live-action film opened in Japan on February 1.
