The bittersweet ending and the song "ichiban no takaramono" takes the cake. I still listen to that whenever I need an emotional tune. To be honest, I don't remember many of the scenes save for the most dramatic ones, but I remembered it was a hella good ride. I also like how each character passed on with their own story.

Especially the idea that Otonashi and Kaede are sharing hearts.

Watched it a long time ago (when it was fresh), remembered crying over the story, but left little impact years later to be able to call it a masterpiece.

Still, it's good, the plot isn't shallow, and the relationships are believable.

Entertaining, but not as good as the first season. For karuta players/enthusiasts, this second part may be more interesting, since they explores more on the tournament, but for others, it simply becomes repetitive compared to the first part where the characters have more interactions with each other.

Better than the first season, yet still too cliche for my tastes. The redeeming quality is that it's somewhat intriguing, and of course Ushio. That girl got me crying hard.

The interconnected characters are splendid.

Touching premise, with great action scenes to follow, memorable characters, and a hint of romance. Highlight is on the character development.

Dear lord, I'm both glad and dreading I didn't read the original manga beforehand. By not reading, the shock value is spot on, but I just. can't. handle. the feels. oh my god

It's sweet. It really is. So sweet, the story tried hard not to give us diabetes in the end.

I know this is an adaptation, which makes it almost always impossible to include all plot points perfectly, but I still feel this movie need more explanation to be understood wholly from the first watch. Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable ride!

This is how you do a retelling of a traditional story. Take note.

On the other hand, the hand-drawn (!!!!!) style made it feel a very long watch, but it's worth every second.

I read the manga after watching, and this doesn't hold a candle to the bigger idea Miyazaki had in his mind. Still, it's a good story about earth and peace that's worth watching, with a great animation considering its time of release.

Promising premise of sharing pain with other people. But instead of taking it too seriously, Kiznaiver took a lighthearted start with fairly enjoyable build-up - which is fine - but ended it with cringey climax. The prime example of why it's needed to show and not tell. Maybe it's just not up to my taste and age, but it ends up preachy.

The art is amazing and superbly consistent, though. Kudos to whoever made the storyboard, keyframes, and character designs.

First time watch: hey, this is good.
Third time watch: ..........why did I like it that much?

Art-wise, BEAUTIFUL. Made me want to swear by it. Story-wise, I didn't feel like it's the best for a relationship (platonic or romantic), like... there's something missing. I'm not sure. Feels rather empty, like a lot of Shinkai's other works.

Since I am a fangirl of Kyyoukai no Kanata, this movie is bomb. But taking back a few steps, and connecting it to the series, there ARE some plot holes that should've been able to be explained. We all know the art is superb, but the movie raises some more questions on Mirai, rather than answering the series' ending.

THE ANIMATION. MY EYES. I CAN'T. TOO GOOD.

Some may look at it and say, the style is to simple - well, guess what, the exact simpleness is the reason its animation is bomb. Every gesture, every little movements, added with the correct pacing and angle - dear God. Bless the animators. Not to mention the "manual" styles of animation as well like the whiteboard and pencil animation. Not to mention the colours and effects.

I can rant all day about the goodness of the art, but Mob Psycho's story also has its justice. Mob is a goody two-shoe who manages to not make himself annoying, and the other characters are all likeable in the end of series. At the same time, the humor is also really good, in a bluntly stupid way you can't help but to laugh.

Masterpiece? Nah. Super good? Hell yeah.

One of the best Ghibli movie, but the weight made it has less rewatch value. Personal highlights are: fantastic setting, highly likeable protagonists, moralistic story.

Calming. Seriously calming, for a story that revolves around supernatural beings. But that exact air of heavy, settling calm is what made Mushishi un-marathon-able. It just gets to your stomach and made you want to just sit down alone on a rainy day with a cup of hot tea and hot noodles.

I would give more points for the colorful art style, character design, light humor, and catchy opening song, but that's about it. It's a decent adaptation, overall entertaining to watch, but too bad the story is not up to my taste.

The manga is better (seriously). Good attempt nevertheless. Highlight on ending song and shinki visualizations.

I like the franchise and all, especially the manga, but for some reason I always felt the anime as lackluster. Despite that, I love the fact that in this second season there's no fillers. Story-wise, just like the manga, it's character-driven and fairly interesting. I just happen to like a lot of the characters like Kazuma and Yukine. Art-wise is impressive, but not in that level of special.

Overall, it's a decent adaptation and continuation.

This story's only weak point is because we get frustrated by the lack of recognition for Saitama (in his world).

Other than that, I need no elaboration, THIS IS AMAZING.

Final thoughts: That was rather weird, but highly relatable. I like how the highlight is on how Hana really tries to give her children the best according to each other's needs. Sometimes, there are just no right and wrong - only choices.

Really good! A bit weak on the ending, but it may be just me. I still like how it ends. I love series that takes morality as its themes, and Psycho-Pass is one of the top tiers since it feels like classic crime-mystery series with a new flavor. Superb art and character design, and supercell handling the opening and ending is the cherry on top.

(+ Kogami Shinya is a surefire way to make fangirls like me weak)

I don't exactly watch ALL the episodes, but I always try to follow it week by week when it was still airing, and since I love the manga to bits, I still remember most parts of the anime. It's too long to rewatch, but this series has a special place in my heart. Highlights are the atonement themes, character designs (Kenshin was one of my oldest childhood crush), and slight romance in the midst of badassery. The fight scenes are gold, considering the release year.

Amazing art, amazing story, universally appealing, brilliantly imaginative. Heartwarming without blatant preach. It deserves every single award it receives.

I don't even remember how many times I've rewatched this music video. Cried at least for the first 4 times. It's great and should be remembered.

+ IT'S PORTER ROBINSON C'MON

Not exactly memorable for me (except for the opening theme+animation), but it really is good! The character-driven plot suits itself very well. Kaori is fresh without being annoying, and the romance is pretty well done.

Worth the hype. The thrill is simply real in this one.

Memorable music and plot. Especially the plot. (Bonus points for the school uniform design!) I like how it explores love, humanity, science, and morality with a dash of thrill and traditional Japanese flavor. It's psychologically challenging, but not too pretentious nor boring.

Loved the manga. Liked the anime.

The first season is spot on, but I feel some pacing can be corrected to make it as memorable/emotional as the manga. Nevertheless, it's hilariously delicious.

First 70ish episodes are fun. The rest is repetitive and relied on shock value.

Not my cup of tea at all, but the art is good and the premise is unique(ly weird) so I'll give it that.
