Very funny! Quite a bit of well-censored nudity and sexual references, but it was all done very well so that my little sister could watch it when she was 9 years old and laugh as well as me (14 years old).

2 Aa! Megami-sama! Movie
This movie left me wanting to gauge my eyes out and gnaw off my own ears.
Well, maybe that's exaggurating a LITTLE...
The movie was very boring. I'm not going to worry about spoilers because none of you are going to go see it anyway. I saw it dubbed - ALL the voices were different from the show, I'm pretty sure. Haven't seen it in a bit. Belldandy sounded freaking BRITISH and Keiichi sounded like some kind of extremist-turned-nerd. The animation was RETARDED - first off, let me start with Keiichi's hair. It looked like it had been sucked up diagonally by a vacuum then gelled in that position. WTF...? Bell's eyes were more flurescent than my blue highlighter, and Urd had these TEENY eyes and a GIANT forehead! They had the same boring plot from the series for a lot of it - the jealousy, the retarded chicks who decide to throw themselves on Keiichi. And then there was the freaking fanservice. The show was one thing - this time, they had Urd kissing Belldandy (acutally forcing her to drink a potion or something), two naked Belldandys hugging, skin-tight jumpsuits - which brings me on to another thing. You know that chick who founded the Auto... Motor... Club thingy? She wore this jumpsuit that was IDENTICAL to Naruto's in Shippuuden. I have NO idea what THAT was about...
Anyways, the ending was the worst ending I have seen since The Spiderwick Chronicles - it was identical to the end of Pokemon 2000, with Mew and Mewtwo, where they all start crying and their tears save the day, but LAMER. ALL the goddesses and crap start singing and their semi-naked souls come out and start singing too and then the power of the energy within the earth or something ridiculous like that stopped Bell's ex-. Ex-mentor, that is. *wink wink* And in the end, the bad guy and the good guys combined their forces... wait for it... to stop the will of heaven.
No, I'm not kidding. The bad guy and the good guys teamed up to beat the better guys. Don't ask me, it made no sense to me at all.
In conclusion, don't watch this movie because it smelled REALLY bad and unless you want to suffer torture, stay away from this movie.

It's rare that I'm moved to tears multiple times during one show. This has got to be one of the most beautiful shows I have ever seen. The character development was so in-depth, I loved every one through their faults. Yukito, my beloved hobo, is an amazing character, and it was he who propelled everyone's lives forward, which I think is an excellent trait. The animation to this show was quite shoujo, but I did come to like it after only one episode or so. The music score was very moving, and very involved and connected with the plot. The English dub was quite good, although there were a few voices that I didn't like. I loved Yukito's voice (Vic Mignogna, no duh), I think it suited the character perfectly. Monica Rial did a good job on Misuzu, and excelled during the emotional scenes. I have never heard Luci Christian sound so good as Haruko, certainly the best performance she's ever given - yes, even better than her job as sweet little Honey from Ouran! This show was so incredibly moving, I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

I'm a little disappointing! The show was so much more emotional, and went into so much more depth about the characters, Misuzu in particular. There were two main things that annoyed me about the visuals in the move most: the first was that there was ALWAYS glare, ALWAYS too much sun, it was hard to see anything! And the second that they seemed to be going the cheepo way out with the animation budget! They just freezed and smeared the picture sometimes instead of actually showing what was happening. Does anyone remember the end of the Naruto filler arc theme song, Re:member, by FLOW? How Naruto's walking, then they freeze the image and it's like the paint was smeared or something. Well, they did it ALL the time! The orchestral score was great though, I think they used the same, or at least similar music to in the series, which is certainly not a bad thing in this show's case! It was gorgeous movie, but still second to the series: Air. I'm one of those obsessive fangirls who throws a hissy fit if everything isn't EXACTLY the same in like a book to movie translation, so I'm very hard to please!

This show was great - hilarious, intriguing, touching and bloody! Isaac and Miria are probably the funniest people on the planet, from 1930 to 2001, and all the characters were great - very well-developed and lovable/despicable as required. I particularly like Isaac and Miria, Hottie With Hat, more commonly known as Firo, and Jacuzzi and Nice (pronounced Neece). The show was incredibly gory in many parts, but they did it very well, and I love blood! I enjoyed how there wasn't a main character - the thing with the grandpa and granddaughter. It made the show so much better, even though it was so small. It was like the musical Chorus Line - not one main character! The ending was HILARIOUS, make sure you watch after the credits everybody!

This 3 episode long OVA is a continuation of the original Baccano series. We are brought back to the story of Carol and the Vice President in the end, and are given a sense of well-being. I particularly enjoyed watching Claire and The Rail Tracer's characters develop through the series and especially in this OVA, as well as Chane's character. Isaac and Miria? They'll never change!

11 Bakemonogatari
This show was SO weird! Everything was off-the-wall bizarre, from the art to the characters to the storyline, Bakemonogatari is definitely... unique. The art complimented the story with distracting primary red, blue and yellow backgrounds and the characters would occasionally morph into Popeye-style caricature-like renditions of themselves upon onset of an extreme or exaggerated emotion. Also, the main character's hair antenna seamed to be directly linked to his soul and enacted what he was thinking at the time. The characters were all very strange, and I found it ironic if nothing else how throughout the series the characters were pigeonholed into 'tsundere' and the like, as although one can appear tsundere, the attitude can be completely different to anything ever seen before. I don't know if these dry, serious, witless and frankly nerve-racking characters were enjoyable or not - I think it is more accurate to say that I enjoyed the break from the norm than the characters themselves. I did, however, take a particular interest in the main character, Araragi. He really did seem like a wonderful person surrounded by people who, wonderful or not, had reasonably distorted hearts. The storyline was also very different: it didn't flow chronologically to a T, however was not as mixed up as shows such as Baccano! can be. Much of the story, including major plot points, were often expressed in flash back. I don't really know what to say about this technique - it's different, is all. The voice cast were good and the direction alright, however I would have preferred a less hot-tempered Araragi sometimes. This show is more interesting and different than anything else, and if you're up for a psychological melt-down, by all means, enjoy Bakemonogatari.

I think this may be the first show I've ever rated 10/10 after 5 episodes - or at least it's the first I can remember. This show absoulutely blew my mind. I play the piano, but I lost my passion so I gave up, but this show got me back at the keys again, and I'm so grateful. The worst thing about slice of life anime is really that it ends, because life doesn't just stop going on unless you die, so the ending always seems like it shouldn't be there, like there's a whole load missing. But at the same time, I think I would've cried with sadness if it'd had a beautiful sappy happy ending. This was one of the best dubs I've heard in so long - Greg Ayres did an awe-inspiring job as always, every single member of Beck's voice actors rocked out loud, but I have to say that Brina Palencia as Maho was just the best - damn, that girl can SING! This show flared such a passion in me, I don't think it'll ever go away. It's inspired me to start learning the bass, wish me luck!

Update: 24/8/10 - I'm currently self-teaching bass and loving every second of it. I know almost a dozen Beck songs, plus a thousand others. Beck changed my life. I'm now very passionate about music and it is a huge part of my life now. I owe it all to this magical show. I've even inspired my best friend AkatsukigirlTy to start playing the bass, and she's having a blast with her bass Haruko (view: FLCL). My bass' name is Taira.

I loved this show! I loved the development of all the characters - you can really see how they grew throughout the course of the series. Does Rinslet remind anyone else of Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop? This anime kind of reminded me of Scrapped Princess in the development of characters, finding the hidden thing within yourself and the random giant flying thing at the end! I also loved Train's similarity to [my] cat - it was very distinctive! And the love of milk... Ed is perfect in every way but one.

This was a nice show. It's not really my comfortable ground, as there was no bloodshed, guns or swords, but I still enjoyed watching this show. I like Okazaki very much, he's a lot of fun and has the same kind of sense of humour that I do - a dry wit and sarcasm that seems to go over the majority of peoples' heads. Nagisa was a pain in the neck though. You can be considerate of others without mumbling every other word and constantly putting yourself down. The best thing about this show, I think, is the ending. Without spoiling, it was a real pleasure to watch because it was CONCLUSIVE, which surprisingly few conclusions are. It was conclusive, but also left the opening for the story to be continued. And now, on to Clannad ~After Story~!

Wow. Just wow. This anime is unlike any other. It is literally a man's life story. Some would say it's sad, but it's just life. It goes on directly from Clannad, from Tomoya and Nagisa's first date. I felt attached to every character, and AkatsukigirlTy was right - I didn't really like Nagisa in the beginning, but before long I loved her! This show made me really break down in tears like I can't remember any show doing to me ever before. It was such a beautiful show, a work of art. As anyone who's seen Code Geass will tell you, this show is amazing! It's got the intellectual capacity of Death Note, the action of Bleach, and mech to surpass Gundam! Very well done! Amazing plot, though I didn't like many of the characters personally. I don't like how CLAMP animated Code Geass, it was quite illogical (by anime standards, I mean) - everyone was picture perfect, all very bishounen and bishojo. Like Vampire Knight.

The single best word to describe this show is COOL. It was hilarious and heart-breaking at the same time. The fight scenes in Cowboy Bebop are just excellent, and everything Spike does is just awesome. Spike's got to be one of my favourite characters in anything. The cultural diversity and blend and the jazz-blues music... it created a genre of it's own. This show had one of the best endings I have ever seen. I feel awful now it's over. This was an awesome show! It certainly got better as it went along. It kind of went on with filler sub-plots for almost the whole series, but the viewer did become much more attached to the characters. Especially Hei. Mmm... Hei... *cough cough* Yes, so as I was saying... Bah, I'm such a fangirl!!! ^^' The fillers really didn't feel like Naruto-filler kind of fillers. Kind of more like FMA fillers, but with even more relevant plot, I think. About as much character development. It was very interesting going on missions with Hei and learning about the Contractors as the series progressed. The plot, as with all BONES plots, was original, attention-grabbing and very full-on. I loved watching this show, as would anyone, I am sure. On a side note: you have to watch it in English dubbed. Oh excellent, very excellent indeed!!! This was a great bit to add to the plot! It wasn't like a lot of OVAs tend to be - i.e. very silly, irrelevant, and with kind of over-used humour. This OVA episode was spectacular! The plot continued as though it had branched off before the finale, with another mission, but comedy was added in! The timing was superb and I think it was quite topical humour - two otakus getting into a vicious brawl over the last manga volume on the shelf, for example. Like that hasn't happened to everyone! The humour was done very tactfully and cleverly, and fit the show perfectly. I think if we had had a hot springs OVA or a party OVA it wouldn't have suited the series, but this was a spectacular special episode, certainly one for other series to model theirs' off of!

This is what anime is. This show is so incredible, so huge and so wonderful, I feel honoured beyond words to have seen it. Every single character charmed me and drew me in, and I loved the relationships between the characters. The story was so mind-blowing, intelligent and just all around wonderful. The depth that the story plunged into is astounding and unrivaled, and the sheer amount of thought and effort put into it is awe-inspiring. Although background people were grey blobbish things which usually indicates sloppy, CLAMPy art, everything about the way the show looked was perfect. The grey background character was actually very important to the storyline, which XXXHolic and Soul Eater need to learn a lesson or two on. The music was pretty average actually, the only aspect of the show which wasn't outstanding. The theme songs though - WOW!!! I can't WAIT for someone to put the bass tabs up for any of those songs! [hint hint] The voice talent was wonderful and I can only hope that it will be picked up by FUNimation soon and become as great as it's predecessor Baccano!. This is what I look for in a good show. This show embodies what I love about anime. I'm so glad I was privileged enough to behold this masterpiece.

...This wasn't a very good anime. They didn't explain anything, so in the ending which I'm sure was meant to be totally epic, I was leaning back in my chair thinking, "WTF?" The colours were so emo - the brightest colour that appeared was a kind of beige-mustard colour. It looked very dull and boring, not appealing. Pino was very cute, and Liam O'Brian did an awesome job of Vince's voice in the English dub, but Re-L just pissed me off so much and it was so hard to follow... I couldn't really get into it much, unfortunately. That's why it took me so long to finish it. I wouldn't advise this anime.

39 Eve no Jikan
This was one WEIRD show! The plot was based upon an idea I have been thinking about a lot lately - i.e. just how far technology should be allowed to go. It was taken on very strangely, from an odd point of view, with an odd, kind of inconclusive, kind of conclusive ending. It's really hard to describe, you'd have to watch it to understand. Something I found interesting was that they didn't give us a lot of information, they didn't tell us what to think. They just presented one scenario which could well occur in the future, not lecturing us about stuff we already knew or could guess or wasn't applicable to the plot. It really leaves most of the ethical thinking up to the audience - it's a starting place, and then you think about it later and reach your own conclusions. Other aspects- the voices were average, the music good in and of itself, but poorly placed and used in the show, and the art was excellent. Something that is impossible to not touch on is the angles - the zooms, revolving, tracking shots, views, lighting, positioning - it was stunning. Very interesting, well done indeed. It's a very hard show to describe, but each episode is only 20 minutes long, and there are 6 episodes, so it's definitely worth a watch if you're up for a philosophical journey.

40 Fruits Basket
People always said that there was something 'special' about Fruits Basket. My friend, QueenPotatoes, grew up with this show, and I wish so much I had grown up with it too, I think it would have made me a much better person. As it is, at 15 years old, the insight and philosophical nature of the show didn't really make that much of an impact, given that I had already worked out much of it on my own. Still, I was charmed by this show, and enjoyed watching it with my little sister. The ending was, although both touching and endearing, was incomplete and uninformative, leaving much to be understood. I prefer the manga by far, and will need to read the manga to it's conclusion to fully understand and appreciate this show. The character development was incredible and I felt attached to every character by the end. Even Akito. And yes, even Hiro, the little jackass that he is! The art was great, but by 1999-2000 standards, through the roof fantastic. The English dub was good, although again, in the time when it was dubbed - around 2001 or so - this would have been the best dub out there. This show really would have been the pride and joy of it's time. Laura Bailey did an adequate job with Tohru, John Burgmeier did a stunning job as Captain Shiggy, Aaron Dismuke was wonderful as Hiro, Justin Cook made my sexy Haru just perfect, and surprisingly the supporting cast was excellent. There are three stand-outs though. Now, I love Eric Vale. I fell in love with him as Ryuusuke in Beck. But his job as Yuki Sohma just made me hate the entire character, who I loved to pieces in the manga, and brought down the entire quality of the dub by at least 50% or more. The best voice in the show by far though was Jerry Jewel as Kyo Sohma. Just bravo, bravo. Brilliant, flawless, engaging performance by Jerry... and he had high expectations after hearing him as Taira in Beck. And then... the WOW. Ayame was voiced by Chris. No, not Chris Patton. English dub version just came out. Used to be rated 7/10, now it's 9/10! THAT WAS FREAKING HILARIOUS!!!! Aaron recorded Al when he was 12 and 13 and his voice started breaking during the movie - he just turned 17, so his vocie is way deeper than Vic (Ed)'s now! And he's taller too XD (sorry Vic!) That was just great, my favourite line was Aaron's, it went: Al: Hey brother. Ed: Heeey.. what happened to your voice? (it was all deep and sexy) Al: It's called puberty, brother, maybe it'll happen to you some day! XD TOO funny!!!!! I'm in love with the whole cast of FMA! The new Al will be Maxey Whitehead, who was Czes in Baccano! Mike McFarlan (director) said that she's really talented, and she wasn't bad in Baccano!, but you could kind of tell it was a girl voicing the little boy. But I trust Mike and Caitlin (Caitlin Glass, who directed Ouran and plays Winry, plus Haruhi on a side note, is co-directing Brotherhood, yay!!!) and I love FUNimation's voice actor lineup, so I have high expectations which I know they'll achieve! Plus, Mike announced that Aaron had earned another role later in the series!!! Yay!!! And he actually EARNED it, it wasn't just given to him to pleae the fangirls - I'm betting he'll be Lau, or whatever the Xing prince's name is. He could pull that off really well! He still has to appear at panels, he can't just be Soldier A!!! Wow, I went on a huge rant there... as I said, I'm obsessed with FMA's cast and TOTALLY stoked for Brotherhood, which will be airing dubebd EARLY 2010! Yays!!!
...Anyway, it was a great OVA, you all have to go watch it dubbed. WAY funnier dubbed. Travis (Roy) should have played with the dogs though :)

Meeeh... As much as I TOTALLY AM IN LOVE with the original FMA series, this re-cap OVA wasn't really very good. I saw the Death Note re-cap bit yesterday and it really pales in comparison. It didn't explain what a Homunculus was or very much about them - it was more about relations between people - Ed and Al, Roy and Maes, Scar and Lust, Hoenheim and Trisha, etc, plus the characters - Greed, Envy, Honenheim, Lust... It wasn't really as much of a re-cap as much as it was hearing characters talk - say things they'd already said in the series - while watching extracts from scenes on the screen. Not the most gripping thing ever. Sorry, you lose to Death Note Rewrite!

I usually don't like movies from anime shows very much, but The Conqueror of Shambala was mind-blowing. VERY well done, VERY gripping. It was a perfect way to end the series and gave me a lot to think about! It kind of reminds me of Higurashi, with the whole parallel universe, parallel identity, parallel life thing. Very interesting, I love that kind of stuff! Every FMA fan has to see it! But don't watch it until you're done the series!

Very cute, very funny! Like My Neighbour Totoro, but funnier and cuter! The main villain-ish-person is a retarded hobo, which I found quite weird. Another great work by Studio Ghibli, although the art was very different from most SG works - a lot more... fun, a lot less attention to detail. Normally I would mark it down for that, but it seemed to fit the feel of the movie.

51 Gakkou no Kaidan
Let me tell you a little story. When this anime was airing in Japan, it was a piece of crap. It was a Scooby-Doo thing that didn't sell well at all. When it was sent across to the marvelous ADV Films to be dubbed into English, Aniplex and the producers and creators of Ghost Stories said that ADV could do whatever they liked with the show, so long as they retained the basic plot elements and character/ghost names. So it turned out like an abridged series, but not abridged. HI-LA-RI-OUS!!!!! The cast (including Hilary Haag, Chris Sabat, Christine Auten, Greg Ayres, Monica Rial and Rob Mungle) and director (Steven Foster) ad-libbed half of the script, making references to movies, TV shows, celebrities, screwing up lines and character personalities, making fun of the Japanese voices... it's a masterpiece. Freaking hilarious! Funniest anime I've ever seen! And yes, I've seen Ouran! Some of my favourite lines, for example, include when a character was looking for directions, he saw a sign and said, "F**k, I can't read Japanese! Ching chong chau... wait, that's Chinese...", when a kid who was an awful actor was performing a school play and the director and his parents said, "Somewhere, Keanu Reeves is getting nervous!" (Cowboy Crap), and poor Obi Frostip's (snort) reputation going down the toilet (episodes 13 and 14). "Yes, I'm pregnant." "I bet it was that frosty Vic Mignogna look-alike! ... What are you going to name the baby? Viccy? Vic 2? Vic Jr.? Obi-baby? *snort* Obi..." Poor Obi Frostips! But anyway, watch in English Dub for the funniest anime you've ever seen!!!

53 Ghost Hunt
This was an excellent show. Thank goodness it wasn't Scooby Doo mystery-wise, which I was kind of expecting. The main thing I think I really enjoyed about this show is the characters. They're all very believable - no Narutos, no Hinatas. I came to love every one (especially Monk, he's awesome!) and am very attached to them. Although John's accent was REALLY pushing it! Jason Leibrecht did an AWFUL Australian accent; it's obvious he or the directors had never met anyone who was Australian. Anyways, the show wasn't as scary as Higurashi, on any level, but it was certainly gripping and exciting, and gasp-inducing! The earlier cases, I kind of new who it was who was the perpetrator, but Naru definitely found evidence and reasons as to why which I didn't get. I find that one of the most important aspects about a horror show in particular is the music. The music in Ghost Hunt was very good, especially the violins which were used outstandingly to set any mood. The animation was excellent (I particularly enjoyed that the characters changed their clothes on a daily basis, bravo!) and the voice talent in the English dub is to be applauded! FUNimation, you've done it again! Travis Willingham, Todd Haberkorn, Cherami Leigh and Eric Vale I think are in particular need of praise. Travis' performance was outstanding, probably the best I've ever heard him in! (I'm sorry Colonel Mustang, you're totally awesome, just Monk gave Travis so much more range... ^^') Definitely anyone could love it, check it out!

Honey and Clover has definitely been a strange and wonderful experience... It has presented many interesting and engrossing theories, characters and relationships and certainly would merit re-watching for the re-analysis of it's issues. It's originality has been especially attractive. Towards the end I was hooked as well as fascinated by the incredible uniqueness of Takemoto and his journey, and would love to try it myself some day. Unfortunately, however, the story could become exasperating at some times, the characters beyond irritating, and the cheesiness would often feel both forced and out of character, however I can now see how this cheesiness led to the final result and actually changed these peoples' lives. This has been a pretty weird show, but I liked it!

This movie was excellent! As an environmentalist, I approved whole-heartedly! Reminiscent of both My Neighbour Totoro (cute aspect) and Princess Mononoke (eco-warrior aspect). The movie was adorable in most places, but also sad. The art lived up to Studio Ghibli expectations, and I very much enjoyed the transformation processes, especially at the parade. So beautiful! This show is very funny! It used to be much funnier, but it kind of wore off after 20-30 episodes. Back when the series revolved around Italy, Germany and Japan was the best. Now that it revolves around different countries every 3 episodes, like Ukraine or whatever, you know... I wish they'd introduce Australia! They have all these tiny countries that nobody's ever heard of, but they don't have the only continent with one country, how slack is that!?

Easily the worst Studio Ghibli film I've ever seen. Not bad, just the worst. It's like nothing else from SG. I need to start off by saying that the English dub voices were just ATROCIOUS! All flat, no acting skill at all... I never felt anything for the characters any more than, "Oh, wouldn't it be sad if he died?" The ending made no sense and the beginning made no sense. I've seen worse movies, but this one really ticked me off, probably because of my high expectations.

I didn't expect much from this show. Particularly after the first five episodes - I had rated it 6/10, an upgrade from 5. I was scared this was going to be the kind of show where the same thing happens every single episode. But once I met Hajime, suddenly everything got a whole lot more interesting. I had it rated 8, but it earned a 9 for it's final four or five episodes. Every show needs an ending like that. Okay, I just have to touch on this point: THANK YOU FUNIMATION!!! The English dubbing on this show was just done so well, it was so well cast! As irritated as I was at myself, my heart STILL went FLUTTER FLUTTER FLUTTER EVERY TIME I heard Todd Haberkorn and saw his character whose name is too long for me to remember. One word: SME-XY! He is SO COOL!!! I also loved Brina Palencia as Ai Enma, the Hell Girl, John Burgmeier as Hajime Shibata, and the ALWAYS excellent Luci Christian as Tsugumi Shibata. The plot and character development were both stunning and well thought-out. Like Death Note, it really challenged predispositions of good and evil. The music was perfect and the animation gorgeous! Studio DEEN did the animation - you may remember them from such anime as Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Everything, Fruits Basket, Axis Powers Hetalia and Vampire Knight. Geez they did an excellent job! This was a great show anyone of any age and any gender can fall in love with. It's very well-rounded and presented perfectly.

I didn't realise how much this show meant to me until it was over... It's incredible how attached I've gotten to Yui, Mugi, Ritsu, Mio and Azusa over the duration of K-ON seasons 1 and 2. On the technical side, the art is wonderful and suitable, much improved from season 1, as great as that was, the music, of course, is through the roof awesome (I love Mio's voice, it's so wonderful!), the seiyuu were incredible, and the whole show had a very modern, beautiful feel to it. The episodic yet still brilliant story lines and the ways in which the characters changed through their high school lives has been wonderful to behold. There was no real overall complication, which I found surprising, however it did not take away from the show. K-ON will never be forgotten. Bring on the movie!

This show started off so well... a 10/10 for it's first episode. The art was incredibly modern, detailed and beautiful, and you could tell the artists cared about what they were doing. The music was so orchestral and wonderful, it took me away. The voice actors were wonderful, the scripts poetic, the gore bountiful, the characters inciting strong emotions immediately. If only this standard could have been upheld. The art was beautiful throughout, yes, but it did get a tad sloppy. I was so glad to see my old characters again, however I fear that the explanation of how I could come to see them again was quite poor. The music became less unique and extraordinary and the poetic language became flamboyant and exasperating. The characters lost something throughout, something which made me love them so much, and it wasn't a natural change. But perhaps worst of all was the fanservice. Urgh. It was disgusting, over the top, inappropriate! For example, to get a gun his opponent was hiding, Sebby had to dive his hand almost elbow-deep in cleavage to get it, accompanied with moans and groans and a cut dress down the middle. It was so gross! I don't know if that does anything for guys, but it just seemed ridiculous to me! The ending was pretty bad - I almost fell asleep in what could have been one of the most epic endings of all time. Don't get me wrong - it was a cool ending, but it didn't feel right, and I got really exasperated with Sebby. I liked the second season best, unfortunately, mostly due to the second half of season 2.

I was told by my best friend to watch this show, because it was amazing and she wanted so much to talk about it. I mentioned this to another friend, and she said the show was boring, cliched, and very much seen before. Now I've finished it, I can definitely see both perspectives, but I am siding with the first opinion. I am 15 years old, and have been over 6 feet tall for probably about 2 years, and have now finished growing at almost 6'2". I hate being tall because if I do something stupid, everyone notices. Although I've never been 'involved' with a guy, I can't help but notice that I'm taller than every guy my age that I know, and since when does Bella tower over Edward? When Tamaki hugs Haruhi her head rests against his chest. Girls are shorter than guys, and that's how it's supposed to go. For once, I hate being different. And so does Koizumi. It's depressing that this incredibly gargantuan character is actually over 10cm shorter than me, but Japanese people are naturally shorter, to generalise, so I understand exactly how she feels. It made me so happy that she could find love with someone who was so much shorter than her. Even though the art was sloppy and lazy, the music was repetitive and juvenile, and the seiyuus made me feel like puking, the storyline carried it through and made me fall in love with Lovely Complex.

This was a splendid movie, way up there! I enjoyed every minute of it, which surprised me due to the lack of blood and guts. The art for this movie was breath-taking and very beautiful; it was done with so much care and precision that every frame looked like it belonged in an art gallery. The plot was beautiful, the ending was perfect. My brother described it as a 'chick-flick', which I object to because to him, if it doesn't have Arnold Schwartzenegger in it, it's a chick-flick. Go figure. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, especially if you've just finished a series, or a favourite character died and you need a pick-me-up!

This show really disturbed me. I thought it looked a little ecchi-ish, but it turned out to be pretty full-blown hentai/yuri stuff. I was reluctant to drop it, as always, so finally managed to finish it. The art was good, the dub flawless and the music usually a refreshing jazz mix when not in battle/epic scenes. I was very confronted by the sexual content. To start with, the sex wouldn't have phased me so much if it was actually 'making love.' If you'll excuse the term, that was mostly just f***ing. It was voilent and crude and volatile, and I was pretty offended. I hated how much these women had been forced to go through sexually and because of their bodies, but hated even more how they were still so... sex-obsessed. If I had been abused and played with and hurt like that as they had, I would be mortally terrified of sex! Which I think would probably contribute to Mimi's homosexual tendencies. This show mentally scarred me beyond repair, I think. If you're curious, don't watch this show. If you have nothing else to watch, don't watch this show. If you're just watching to be horny, you'll be happier elsewhere. This'll do nothing but depress you and make you wanna crawl under the blankets and never be touched by anyone or anything ever again, if you're anything like me.

What an interesting series. I've never seen any like it, and I doubt there will ever be another like it. I really couldn't pinpoint why I like it so much if I tried. I like many things about it: the foreign yet fascinating nature of mushi, the background art to rival Studio Ghibli, the interesting story lines and lives every episode presents, the flawless voice cast, the beautiful music, the refreshing plots, Ginko's lovability... it all just blends together into one hell of a show. Usually I tire very quickly of shows where each has a different plot - I'm not attached enough to the main character(s), the plots are boring and have been done a million times, it feels incomplete - but this series just seemed so right, like there's no other way the story could be. I thought the ending would be like it was, and it just flowed, like the rest of the series. As a character, I really liked Ginko very much, the only main character. He's a fascinating man, and I can't help wondering about him - how old is he? Who did he learn from? Why is he so kindhearted? The questions won't ever be answered, but maybe that's for the best. GInko is Ginko and he is an amazing human being and Mushi Master just as he is. This show was pure genius, and I love it to pieces and admire everything about it. Everyone should watch this show.

I watched The Cat Returns with a friend at a sleepover, and we were both in hysterics, even though my friend had already seen it multiple times. This was an adorable anime, the cats were to die for and the plot was well-developed, but as it was in essence a comedy or kids movie, it didn't go into very much detail about the gears and cogs of it all. I LOVE this show. It's not like other anime - little things, here and there, make it so, so special. True, the art can get [very] sloppy sometimes, and the music is about as average as it comes, but wow. The dub of this show was MAGICAL. The voices were good - Luci Christian wonderful as always. Some - especially the kids - sounded really weird, but it can all be forgiven because of Greg Ayres and Chris Patton. Greg played Yamazaki, and MAN he was PERFECT. But somehow, in some way, Chris Patton was BETTER than perfect. His voice alone could crack you up or make you cry. His timing was genius, and his love for Satou (his character) was evident in every word he spoke. And that script was GOLD! You very rarely come across a script like that in anime - people swore. There weren't 'the swearing one' characters, it wasn't only Americans, it wasn't unnecessary or crude... They swear like I swear, for impact and for comedy. Not all the time, just to add some spice to dialogue here and there. And I LOVE that. It's very realistic. That's something else I loved about this show - little bits of realistic stuff you don't usually see in anime. Humour that you don't normally come across in the anime world. Perspectives you don't normally see from. A realistic outlook on the world without any cheesy one-liners or random snow. They could have a cloudy day without it raining and without anyone being depressed - no one even took notice. It was just cloudy. The end. Incredible themes were tackled which didn't need to have an ending, because they're in everyone's lives, and would never stop being in everyone's lives. This show was beautiful, gripping, emotional, and fucking hilarious. Everyone should watch this.

Originally, I just set out to watch this show for it's voice cast - who wouldn't want to watch a show starring J. Michael Tatum and Brina Palencia? I've heard Tatum say that most of the show discusses economics and although it sounds quite boring, it really is an incredible show. He is so right. This show blew me away with it's incredible and unusual characters, elaborate and complicated storyline and wonderful moments which I won't soon forget. The art and music were both hovering around average and the character design was both fascinating and appropriate. The characters would speak in technical jargon for minutes on end leaving me very confused, however they ensured that I understood the essence of what occurred without dumbing it down to Patrick Star level as shows often tend to do. Still makes me wish I studied commerce though! Bring on Season 2, I say!!!

97 Ouran Koukou Host Club
This anime was hilarious - a great comedy. There's someone for everyone to fangirl over, and when all else fails, there's Usa-chan there to cheer us up! It's something totally different to what BONES usually does - couldn't be more different to Full Metal Alchemist, Soul Eater and Wolf's Rain. Even the animation is different - in two of the above three the animation is the same (my favourite!), but the animation in Ouran fits it's genre - faster strokes, less attention to detail; backgrounds aren't artistic strokes of colour, they're poofy shapes and bright colours, usually pink. The show does, however, delve into some really deep, fascinating philosophical ideas and sub-plots, and my heart was wrenched from my chest, squeezed, flailed and wrung within an inch of it's life throughout the show. It's beautiful in the way that it lulls its audience into a false sense of security, filling us with love for these creative, fun, quirky characters and their wacky adventures before thrusting them into terrible, heart-wrenching situations, and showing us that they haven't always been so happy. This is, in many ways, a very mature show, and definitely one I advise should be watched by all.

98 Paradise Kiss
What a fascinating show... This show is from the creators of Beck and Nana, both of which I rated 10/10. Both of those shows were centred around music, to different degrees, and both got me more into music. Paradise Kiss is centred around fashion. I thought if I watched this, I would come to understand society's obsession with fashion, which I have never understood. I still don't. If anything, this show made me abhor the world of fashion even more than I did before I watched it. However, this subtracts little from the wonderfulness that is this show. I saw, as I saw watching Beck and Nana, just how intolerable people can be, and just how cruel love can be. Every character was so intriguing, so full of subtext, emotion and in-depth thought that I couldn't help but think of them as real people. So much wasn't said and so much wasn't explained, and I really think the series would have been better at 24 or 26 episodes, but I really appreciated every second of this show. I saw the characters change and develop and grow in countless ways which is an experience I treasure. I cried a couple of times through the course of this show, just because I was so attached to the characters I felt what they felt, no matter how hard it was. The art in this show rests around average - better than Beck and Nana, I think - and the music is worse than both but still good. The plot and the characters carried this show through and earned it so much love and respect from me.

100 Petshop of Horrors
There is no better way to describe Petshop of Horrors than horrific. Not the scariest, not the most supernatural, not the most mysterious, not the creepiest. Not the most horrific either (see: School Days. see: Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni [whatever]). But certainly horrific. It's quite old (by which I mean aired in 1999) but unlike most older anime I've come across (made before 2000) it's actually quite interesting. The art was kind of dodgy but I wouldn't call it bad. Music wasn't special, but once again not bad. The plots and the character of Count D., though, were stunning. I found myself invested in the one-episode-long plots and completely satisfied with their length, characters and gore level. The character of Count D.... just wow. Quite... ahem... 'flamboyant'... but so clever, so intriguing. I wish I could learn more about him. This is the first anime I've come away from thinking, "I need to read the manga." I hope I can find it at my local manga store!

It was on TV yesterday and nothing else was on, so I tuned in - mostly to hear Dan Green's voice *drools* mmm Dan Greeeeen.....

You've gotta love the Pokemon movies, they're all gold *cough Dan Green cough* It was a nice way to spend my evening (...I need a boyfriend...). I was quite sad though hearing Ash's old voice which I miss deeply (you'd think he would have hit puberty in the 15 years of Pokemon running..) and Meowth too - his voice actor died recently.

I actually enjoyed this movie, to my surprise. I think mostly because I was watching it with QueenPotatoes and we had such a great time making fun of it! Her mum thought it was a comedy because we were laughing so hard, but what she failed to realise was that we were laughing AT it, not WITH it. It was freaking 4KIDS, people! We just watched it for a laugh! Here's a spoiler: music saved the day. Yes. I'm not kidding. And this lady - she played the leaf. Yes, a leaf from a tree sounded like a flute. You can actually make a leaf make a sound, but as QueenPotatoes pointed out, you can't play over the span of 3-4 octaves with a LEAF! It was very stupid - no one died, no one was injured, no one was gutted... *sigh* disappointing. Well, it was very fun, a great sleepover movie to laugh your head off at!

110 Samurai Champloo
This is a very interesting show, by all means. Everything's different, in a league of it's own which may not necessarily be better, only different. The English dub of this show is of SUCH high quality, it's stunning, even though I don't know many of the actors. Really shows me I have a lot to learn. Of course, Steve Blum is still above and beyond - so perfect. I loved the cameos of the big names - Johnny Bosch, Liam O'Brien - great. I was pissed with the credits though; they never showed who played who, I just had to go by ear. The music is on a whole new level never before explored, I think - hip hop and rap combined with a jazz with a classical oriental sound. Don't ask me how they did it - Nujabes and Fat Jon and all those folks really know how to make an OST. Everything on the guitar is just so out-of-the-box, brilliant, even revolutionary, I was so charmed by it. The art, as I was warned, took a while to get used to, but it blended in with the show's feel before too long and I became charmed by it. A big shocker was that no one was really... bishie. I'm kind of used to subliminally going through every character I meet and judging fangirling possibilities. No one was really super hot or handsome or anything in this series. They all looked like they stank on ice and needed to trim their toe nails and wash between their everything. Their skin wasn't smooth and they didn't wear anything flashy. It - the grubbiness - was all so... earthy and real, I'm shocked Watanabe-sama and the artists thought about it that much, in that way... that is unique and wonderful. However, I have to say... Gin in the last episode... O.O Wow. Uhhuhuh... yeah... >.> So anyways Samurai Champloo was a great, unique show with an ending unlike any other and music to change my world.

Well, I can say this: it was unlike anything I have ever seen before. I hated EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER, especially Mokoto, our protagonist. It was all his fault that everything happened, and he blamed it on everyone else. Everyone was insane! There was one girl I kind of liked at one point, but she ended up going totally mad. It was really terrifying! Girls, DO NOT WATCH THIS WITH YOUR BOYFRIENDS!!!! Do not watch it if you have a boyfriend or want a boyfriend, because I did before I saw this anime!

I didn't really love this show, but it was good. The characters were interesting, the art good and the dub fantastic, however the ecchi REALLY pissed me off. Makina, our main character, is strong and powerful and independent, but as soon as she even sets eyes on a monster, suddenly her clothes are frayed beyond recognition. And for some reason, she doesn't wear underwear. Wouldn't that be terribly uncomfortable, particularly in combat? That ecchiness ruined so much of this anime. The music was nothing notable and the story, although different, was slow-paced, boring, predictable and irritating. There's better stuff to watch out there. I won't be watching Kuro, at least for a while.

Warning: I can not comment on this show without the use of profanity.
FUCKING HELL... OH MY GOD... I waited 24 hours so I wouldn't have such an extreme review, incidentally. This show was a MIND FUCK. It took me about 10 episodes to get into it - I hate(d) the art style, every character pissed me off, and sometimes they wore such ridiculous outfits I couldn't even focus on the subs. I couldn't work out why this show had been recommended so fervently to me, why it was so popular. But it became apparent. OH MY GOD. Not even Higurashi made me scream from sheer horror as much as Shiki has. My sister actually came in from the room next door at 2am when I was watching the finale to make sure I wasn't dying to find me a crying screaming wreck in fetal position on my bed, sobbing at the prospect of finishing the episode. This show brought into question so many things I never ever wanted to question in such an extreme, horrific way. The experience of watching this show, the emotions it drew from me, are what has earned this show a 9/10 rather than the 6 or 7 I was planning to give it when I was half way through, missing out on a 10 because of the art and my lack of attachment to the individual characters. The in-show music was ordinary, the opening themes awesome (especially the second one) and the closings mundane (the first more so than the second). This is a show which made me kick and scream, and as anyone who knows me can tell you, this is a rare feat, and a show which can do this to me is a show which has earned my respect.

Very good. Funny, and educational learning how teenage boys think! =) The episode order is retarded though, very confusing and annoying. I decided to just watch through, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, as listed at JustDubs.net, where I watched from. In the end I had to chase down a few episodes on YouTube and whatnot, but I got everything in. I must say though, it was rather sexist and that irked me. For example... hmm, how to prove my point without spoilers? Okay, something happened that required great strength, so they all said, "It had to be a man, a woman couldn't be that strong." That pissed me off quite a bit. Also the abuse Miss Asahina copped from Haruhi, and Kyon as well, in that he didn't keep his word and save her. All in all it was a very good anime. I loved Itsuki Koizumi, he was great. But then again, he was voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch in the English dub, so he HAS to be great!!!

125 Trinity Blood
Okay, I'm going to nit-pick this show. BADLY. I'm not going to shut up. There were a lot of things that really annoyed me, and a lot of things I thought were outstanding. #1 thing I was annoyed at: the directing (of the English dub). I LOVE Mike McFarland - I mean, look what he made FMA! - but his directing in Trinity Blood really irritated me. Whenever a character was in pain, or angry, or sad, they'd make those really annoying gaspy/hiccupy noises, which I hate. They're so unrealistic! He also killed Colleen Clinkenbeard. Not her character, but her character's voice. She's one of the best VAs FUNimation has, but the way she sounded in this show, the way she portrayed Esther Blanchet, made an otherwise likable character quite despicable. I don't think that was Colleen's fault, that's the director's responsibility. On the subject of voice actors, I particularly loved Aaron Dismuke's performance as Ion Fortuna (haha you've gotta love puberty!), Vic Mignogna's performance as Virgil Walsh (it took me two whole minutes to pinpoint it as Vic, a record! Yes, I'm a self-proclaimed Vic expert!), and Phil Parons' Leon Garcia Asturias. I've never noticed Phil Parsons before, but he shone in this show. On the subject of the art, it can be completely gorgeous, but at times it was nothing short of sloppy, particularly involving Esther and Pope Alessandro, as well as the clothes. Also, Ion looked liked a chick sometimes. Seriously, his eyelashes went on forever in some parts! And I don't know if this was on purpose, but all the vampires - I'm sorry, Methuselah (SUCH A FEPIC WORD!!!) seemed quite gay. I don't know what those homosexual undertones were meant to imply, but it was reasonably disturbing at times. A great many of the expressions were sloppy and unrealistic. For example, when Abel ran, often his mouth would look like he was trying to swallow a Big Mac whole on the move. Sometimes Esther's eyelashes could get so ridiculously long that they became even more salient than that hair of hers, which to be frank puts Kallen's to shame. AND ANOTHER THING! All the nuns and sisters looked like whores! I mean, WHAT? The Vatican is supposed to be Roman Catholic, and in Roman Catholicism priests, nuns, sisters, brothers, etc. aren't allowed to marry. So WHY, may I ask, was Noel flirting so OBVIOUSLY with Abel? Why did Esther fall for Ion? WHY did every woman wear lipstick? Why did every single girl wear an entire bottle of mascara per eye? And dammit, WHY were those dresses they all wore so freaking TIGHT? I mean, I know it's anime, but they're SISTERS AND NUNS, there are other women's breasts to goggle over for all those overly-zealous viewers! Abel also had Dragon Ball Z syndrome, which is very OOC for him, I think - for some reason, the pointier Abel's hair was, the more powerful he was. I mean, he has hair down to his bum, and it stands straight up, vertical, when he powers up or whatever. So, his power is to have hair that defies gravity? WHAT SHAMPOO DOES THAT MAN USE??? Also, everyone, particularly the Methuselah, often spoke of characters that the audience had seen once or knew nothing of with no explanation/flashback, so it became very confusing. The character development was fairly good - I would have been able to say that I'd grown attached to everyone if it weren't for Mike McFarland's interpretation of Esther Blanchet. The music could be beautiful, but occasionally was inappropriate and just plain boring. Scenes in which we were shown some magnificent landscape with birds and other peaceful crap flying around had gorgeous music, although these scenes did tend to last an irrationally long time. The ending seemed, to use the scientific word, crappy. Nothing was concluded, it was boring, and they spent far too much time observing scenery. Esther went and did a Sakura, saying, "Oh, I'm so useless! Time to change all that!" and it never happened. Until Trinity Blood Shippuuden. ...yeah. Also, the Christian-ness of this show was quite overwhelming, and got reasonably irritating at times. I mean, sure Christians have some good morals and ideas, but they have their sillier laws, just like most religions, and it annoyed me how they observed these. In conclusion, go watch something less suckish.

I didn't like this show. Why? Because it didn't make any sense. It's not that I was too stupid to understand the sense, it was just a whole load of contradictions and stupid, illogical reasoning. Plus they censored the blood. It's so sad!!! The animation was definitely better than the Higurashis, but Higurashi is a jillion times better than Umineko. It made NO SENSE. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but the ending is just as illogical as the rest of the series. Don't bother watching this. 128 Vampire Knight
My super special awesome best friend (AkatsukigirlTy) bought me Volume 1 of the Vampire Knight manga for Christmas, and as soon as I finished it I wanted more! So I started the anime Christmas night, and finished by the day after Boxing Day. The only reason I didn't finish it yesterday is because a friend slept over. I'm addicted to this show now, I need to see some more! I think it's a really well executed show, all it's elements blend together very well! Sometimes all the bishounenness can be a bit overwhelming, but Zero's the only one for me!!! (suck it, Kaname!) This is quite the thriller show - you finish one episode, you need to see the next RIGHT NOW, and I love that about *already completely aired* shows! I was kind of scared about watching this show because, you know, everyone knows Vampire Knight. As much as I hate to say this, it has kind of the same 'aura' as Twilight (now I hate myself, I mentioned IT on my MAL!!!) - but like, all the girls go crazy over the ridiculously hot guys, and it's best known for that. Or at least I knew it best for that. And similarly to IT, I had to look past that. I had to ignore the gossip and the rumours and the prejudices, and if I actually sit down and watch Vampire Knight with nothing in my head but, "Time to watch this show!" then I can really enjoy it! Similarly, if I forget about Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and the screaming fangirls and the hype and just hold a Twilight book and read it, thinking, "Time to read this book!" then I actually like the book, despite what a Mary-Sue and Gary-Stu issue Stephenie Meyer appears to have. I went totally out on a tangent, didn't I? Oh well - where was I? Right: like, when I read Twilight, I think, "a guy could actually enjoy this, it's not all what the die-hard fangirls make it out to be," but of course, most guys would be scared to read Twilight and if they did, their minds would be plagued by stereotypes. Vampire Knight could be enjoyed by both girls and guys, if both can manage to wipe away the prejudices and actually but some effort into enjoying the show. ...So yes. It was good. =) Now I need to get onto Vampire Knight Guilty asap!

This was certainly an interesting show. It took me two entire months to finish it simply because I got bored of it, so procrastinated watching the next episode, to be blunt. I did find, though, that there were a lot of things to love about this series. The voice cast was above and beyond, especially Todd Haberkorn as Watanuki, whose flailing noises are unrivaled, and Colleen Clinkenbeard as Yuko, who was so good I often forgot to think how good she is, I was so wrapped up in everything she said. The characters were a delight, every one as interesting and curious as the last, and the wonders of Yuko are as limitless as her eccentric wardrobe. The art, though, puts me off a great deal, as most Clamp work does. It just isn't my cup of tea, and to be honest I think it's clumsy, half-assed and childish. That may be a bit harsh, but still. Once again, the one-story-per-episode thing just ticks me off, although I doubt there was really any other way to do the show. This show was by no means bad, I just wouldn't go so far as to call it 'good', sorry.
