Bokura ga Ita
I like shoujo series that aren't superficial and are unique in their own sense which is exactly what Bokura ga Ita is.
It's really easy to fall into the pace of the characters and learn about how complex they are...something I certainly admire about this show: there are so many sides to a single character that it's incredibly realistic. Each character is unique from each other and no one is particularly annoying. Honestly, it's been a bit of an emotional roller coaster with lots of laughs and lots of tears on my part! |

Fruits Basket
The only thing I didn't like about the anime was the poor ending. It would've been great if there was a sequel to follow, but since there isn't...read the manga! =)

Guilty Crown
This was a good anime with great graphics, interesting characters, and a good musical score.
Where this anime falls is in its storyline. It's a typical mecha/apocalypse type plot with an attempt to be a little different. The attempt, in my opinion, didn't make a lot of sense and just left me with some queries of my own at the end of the show. The progression and execution of the plot was poor. Overall, I'd say I was still well entertained. |

Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
This was an anime that drew me in so well initially because it's so HILARIOUS! I loved the comedy that comprised the anime.
Admittedly, about halfway through the series, I started to get a little irritated and frustrated as it took the road most shoujo romances take...the romance took off at a really good start being typical yet not-so-typical but came to a snail pace about halfway through the series. I've seen quite a few series featuring the dense female shoujo lead...some of which have frustrated me, taking the snail pace after some good progression...some of which kept progressing well and satisfied my tastes. Usui's character is typical in that he's the perfect being who literally do any and everything. He's the mysterious lead protagonist. I really hoped to have learnt something about him at the end of the series and was left knowing almost as little as I did at the start. I was left to my own theories regarding his story. |

Kobato.
Ah. Kobato makes for an amazingly heartfelt anime. Much of it really resonated with me. There are different types of characters and personalities in the mix but it's hard not to fall in love with everyone of them, especially Kobato herself. Definitely something worth watching.

The special episodes were so reminiscent of the plot of the original Pokemon games that I got rather unexpectedly excited and absolutely loved the game-type effects!
