Mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki Charged and New 'Rurouni Kenshi' Manga Series to Enter Hiatus

Shueisha has announced that mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki (born Nobuhiko Nishiwaki) is charged for violating the Child Prostitution and Pornography Law and is currently sending the papers pertaining to the case to the Public Prosecutors Office. The previously announced Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Hokkaido-hen will enter a hiatus as a result. The violation hurts the publisher badly and the mangaka, admitting the charge of having multiple DVDs of displaying nudes of early teens, deeply regrets it.

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Hokkaido-hen is a new series of Rurouni Kenshin that also received anime adaptations throughout the '90s. The new series has began its serialization in Jump SQ magazine with Kaoru Kurosaki this September.
