The official site for NHK has revealed three new TV anime series to air in 2018. Piano no Mori (Piano Forest) is getting a TV anime adaptation to air on NHK in Spring 2018. More info about the upcoming series will be revealed at a later date.

Synopsis
A tranquil tale about two boys from very different upbringings. On one hand you have Kai, born as the son of a prostitute, who's been playing the abandoned piano in the forest near his home ever since he was young. And on the other you have Syuhei, practically breast-fed by the piano as the son of a family of prestigious pianists. Yet it is their common bond with the piano that eventually intertwines their paths in life. (Source: KEFI)

The series is drawn by Makoto Isshiki. It was previously serialized in now-defunct Young Magazine Uppers between August 1998 and November 2002. The series resumed serialization in Morning in April 2005 and concluded in November 2015. The 26th and final volume was published by Kodansha in December 2015. It was previously adapted into a movie by Madhouse that premiered in July 2007.

Tsurune: Kazemai High School School's Archery Club will be animated by Kyoto Animation and premiere in 2018. The light novel series received a Special Judge Awards in 2016.

Synopsis
The "archery youth story" novel follows Minato Narumiya. Minato played Japanese archery in middle school, but after a certain incident, he ran away from the sport. In high school, Minato meets new friends, and together as part of their school's archery club they aim to win the prefectural tournament. (Source: ANN)

The series is written by Kotoko Ayano with illustrations by Chinatsu Morimoto and published under its KA Bunko imprint in December 2016.

Tsukumogami Kashimasu (Tsukumogami For Rent) is based on a novel series and will premiere on NHK in 2018.

The manga is set during the Edo period, in the Fukagawa ward of old Edo (present-day Tokyo). Because the area is prone to fire and flooding, residents rent everyday items like pots, futons, and clothing from shops instead of purchasing them, so as not to impede them when they flee. Obeni and Seiji, an older sister and younger brother, run one such rental shop called Izumoya. However, mixed in with their inventory are tsukumogami, objects that have turned into spirits after a hundred years of existence. The siblings sometimes lend these sentient items to customers. Both Obeni and Seiji can see and talk to these spirits, and other tsukumogami often come to the store after hearing of the famed siblings. (Source: ANN)

The series is written by Megumi Hatakenaka and has been published by Kadokawa in 2007. A sequel was published in 2013, under the title Tsukumogami, Asobou yo (Tsukumogami, Let's Play).
