'Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records' Anime Adaptation Announced

The May 2016 issue of Dragon Magazine, which will go on sale on March 19, has announced that the fantasy light novel Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records will be receiving an anime adaptation.

The series written by Tarou Hitsuji, with illustrations by Kurone Mishima, has been publishing since 2014 and has five volumes in print. A manga adaptation drawn by Aosa Tsunemi is also being serialized in Shounen Ace magazine.

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records is the winner of the 26th Fantasia Taisho, an award by publisher Fujimi Shobo which recognizes new writers in its catalog.

Synopsis
Sistina attends a magical academy to hone her skills in the magical arts, hoping to solve the mystery of the enigmatic Sky Castle. After the retirement of her favorite teacher, the replacement, Glen, turns out to be a tardy, lazy, and seemingly incompetent bastard of an instructor.
