Second Chapter of 'Digimon Adventure tri.' Premieres in March 2016

At the Shinjuku Wald 9 premiere of Digimon Adventure tri. 1: Saikai, the cast of the series announced that the second installment will open in Japanese theaters on March 12, 2016. Titled Ketsui (Resolve), the second movie will have a running time of 75 minutes according to the Amazon.co.jp pre-order listing for the Blu-ray and DVD.

The theatrical poster of the second installment was also teased at one of Saturday's premiere showings. It features two of the main DigiDestined characters, Mimi Tachikawa and Jou Kido, along with the Mega evolution forms of their partner Digimon.

Digimon Adventure tri. was announced in 2014 at the franchise's 15th anniversary celebration. Toei Animation returns to produce the six-part sequel with new character designs by Atsuya Uki. The Blu-ray and DVD of the first chapter will be released on December 18, 2015.
