Light Novel 'Gakusen Toshi Asterisk' Adapted to Anime for Fall 2015

Producer Shinichiro Kashiwada announced at the Aniplex USA panel held today at SakuraCon that light novel Gakusen Toshi Asterisk (Academy Battle City Asterisk) will be getting an anime adaptation. The action-fantasy story will premiere in Fall 2015.

Synopsis
The Academy City on the water, Rikka (otherwise known as Asterisk) is the world's largest stage for the integrated battle entertainment, "Star Wars Festival." Ayato Amagiri arrives at Rikka at the invitation of the Student Council President of the Seidoukan Academy, Claudia. Gakusen Toshi Asterisk was first published in September 2012 under Media Factory's MF Bunko J label. Its seventh volume was released on November 21, 2014 and sold 17,118 copies in its two weeks on Oricon's ranking charts. The light novel is written by Yuu Miyazaki, with illustrations by IS: Infinite Stratos' okiura. A manga adaptation by Ningen started serialization in Comic Alive in January 2013.
