I will admit, at first I did have my doubts about Beastars. I only heard about the manga recently (about half way through march 2019), I was sceptical, thinking it was perhaps inspired by Zootopia (I was wrong). Although when I first began reading... holy fudge man, I was pleasantly surprised. While having a mediocre art style (at first), I quickly captivated me through its phenomenal character design and orientation of the world structure and the much deeper and darker nature that makes up Beastars. It is certainly a must read.
